I know this maybe in the wrong forum, but just due to the recent bashing of hiphop in the TO forum, i thought id post it here. If you think hiphop on the radio/tv sucks today, i agree.....but these albums in my list are still good to this day......enjoy.

Oh i know it was, and i agree with everything that you said in it. I just thought it would be cool to post some GOOD hiphop, since most of it today sucks ass. |

The only album i wouldn't agree with is the Bone Thugs N Harmony, those guys were complete .
To add to great albums:
O.C. - "Times Up"
Common Sense - "Can I Borrow a Dollar?"
there was also another Pete Rock and CL Smooth album that came out during that time after "Mecca and The Soul Brother", think it was called "Soul Survivor", which was amazing.
I don't think anyone ever bashed hip-hop on the forums from that era... it was only directed from what elevated after 96'. The start of the bull began in 96 with Biggie Smalls 2nd lp that had Puff Daddy begining the commercalized money making attitude type of beats, that just ruined everything that was good about the scene. |

Yeah, im aware that this era was never bashed, I just thought bringing forth the best era of this genre of music would be a good idea since the hiphop of today is in such a lame state. |
