man u suk..how can u not like zombi nation, that song is cool. while not one of my favorites, it for sure isnt the worst. and sandstorm is by darude, and that song is aweswom. |

err...commercial cheeze i'm afraid...i don't like it much. i heard it a few times and then i was already sick of it. if a choon does that to me, then it's garbage. :p sandstorm and zombie nation have this really cheesy synth that is like 3 notes put together.
besides, every song darude makes sounds like sandstorm. except for the mystery of life which was one of their promos and it did NOT sound anything like their stuff today. weird. funny, what money does to someone. :p :) |

| that is such a shame b/c when i throw on the launch or my beat (ambassador remix) the crowd goes nuts..so i really cant dog on those tracks, ya they very commercialized but they are still classics |

what? do you understand what you re saying? I understand that everyone is fed up with the 'darude' sound, but every artist has a sound that everyone recognises them from.
Lets take Rank 1 for an example (everyones favourite): They have the same sound from track to track. And I do not consider that bad, because its a cool sound :D
Paul van Dyk (My fav) : I mean, he is well known for his kickdrum. Listen to the album for instance. You could tell, without looking at the cover, that the album is made by paul. The sound of the artist is just as his / hers fingerprints.
ok the point of the story is that every Artist needs to have a certain sound and then stay within that sound. (why else would popular Djz [f.c, Dj Tiesto] change their artist names so often... (kamaya painters, system F. veracocha, Major League, Gouryella).
And : I didnt write this story to defende Darude. I'm fed up with his sound too... |

I think Darude sux too.And his 'sound' is pretty annoying...nothing compared to PvD's 'sound'.

i said that too, its honestly the exact same track w/ synths and drums (straight out jacked)
otherwise it'd be bearable.
i hadnt' realized that "my beat" was commerical. how unfortunate.
the FUNNy thing is, i heard sandstorm about ... id say 2 years ago? maybe 1 and a half?
it was a bootleg or something, like "kickin the sandstorm" or something with a vocal. and i thought that was the main song. some guy saying "kicking from the front to the back, ... (someones) gonna cause a heart attack)
and i totally played it out before hearing the original sandstorm being played everywhere.. so then i hated the darude song
but now i dont mind it as much, which is to say i dont look for the nearest revolver to blow my brains out :P |

I heard sandstorm first in the end of 1999. This song KICKED ass!!! I loved it. But then it turned commercial, and all the Tv and Radio stations played it 24/7. This ruined it for me... |

it was just his annoying little sequence that HE invented well maybe not inveented.. but commercialized.
