MISSTRESS is not on the same night. it's on the Saturday (29th) at Turbo. (now sound emporium) As far as I know, she is headlining as usual, with no other "big" DJs.

I only heard rumors about the massive Techno extravaganza, I heard all of the names mentioned but honestly I thought it was pure fantasy; it sounded way too extraordinary to be true…

Me neither! I knew about it awhile ago but then today saw that Barbara is playing Saturday as well and couldn't believe it! That is going to be SUCH a good weekend. I miss techno nights so much...those ing crazy nights where everyone is going off like mad, vibe is wikkid, DJ is lovin it up and everything is ing PERFECT!
...and now we're gonna have two nights like that on the same weekend. I can't believe this is happening in Toronto!!!!!!!!!!! |

i heard umek&kanzyani spin at an afterhours party last summer.. back to back for five hours straight..
if nobody has never heard of umek & kanzyani, umek mostly spins funky groovy techno, even though he can play bangin' style too.. valention is better known for his tech-house sets rather than his techno sets, but when they play together they'll both spin techno - various genres of it..
they run their own label recycled loops, but umek has a couple of other ones that he releases his stuff on..
if u want some of umek's production to get a basic idea what he'll be spinning at (systems?) here u go.. :D

That is one disgustingly amazing lineup for two nights!!!!! Umek, Beyer, Barbara I've heard already and can't wait to hear them live!!! I'm definetely gonna check out the other dj's sets.
Oh, and you can count me in on this if you haven't gathered that much already ;) |
