Good to see a thought out, intelligent response to that question.
I am a big fan of his recent sets as well, but I don't think he has any chance at DJ of the year. For one, most of his sets are done on computer. He had his time of bringing trance to where it is today, but with the popularity of so many other DJs rising and Oakenfold's productions delving into different genres, most purists won't give him the time of day. I look for a strong finish again from Tiesto, Sasha, Digweed, Armin, and Paul van Dyk.
I think people to look out for this year as far as increasing their standings markedly include Sander Kleinenberg, James Zabiela, and Dave Seaman. |

i think james zabiela's productions are really good and his scratchin techniques are great but his sound has become too dirty for him to climb up higher in the ladder of top djs |

| he may be playing some solid sets, but I think Oakey passed his prime somewhere back in 2001, he is just a name with access to the new stuff. |
