the reason that this is done alot is because A) its size...sorry...but it looks like a toy... B) its targeted more for kids... C) its game library sux...
compare the games to the XBox & PS2 and all u got are upgraded Resident Evil games on the Cube...i personally dont have anythin against it...just that i was not gonna get stuck with another Nintendo system...they target kids and dont have much on the hardcore side...lol... |

k, I agree with A and B. Even though Nintendo is trying to target a different crowd it's not really working for them; But it's games library doesn't suck. Xbox will never come close to the quality of games that Gamecube has, other than the Halo series, which I admit, rocks.
Metroid Prime is widely considered the best game to have come out in recent years. Then there's Eternal Darkness which I just got (and trust me, it's better than ANY survival-horror-thriller game out there). Believe me, there's a lot more games on Gamecube than just Mario and Luigi. But yea, because of their design for the system, everyone discards the system before playing any of the games that they might like. Nintendo targets the more hardcore gamers, while Xbox and PS2 target the casual gamers (which I am, even though I own a Gamecube, heh). Their best-selling games are sports games and action games. Why? cause those are easiest to get into. |

Eternal Darkness is already out, and it's the best game out for it (better than metroid imo). Coming out you got stuff like Killer 7, Resident Evil 4 and *maybe* MGS3 (right now it's up in the air as to what system its coming out for). I know that a lot of new games will be announced in May, during E3. |

Just wait, within the next year that post will sound pretty stupid, XBOX has as many good games as Gamecube so I don't understand why you rag on Gamecube. PS2 reigns for games so far since it's had it's time to develop amaazing games and the graphics have developed as well. Soon Gamecube and XBOX will do the same and they will have wicked games, otherwise people wouldn't buy games if it was for a system that they didn't think had potential. |

zero is new, the remake of part 1 could be considered a new game cause of all the crap they added in. 2,3 and Code:veronica are straight ports (worthless)...Resident Evil 4 is comin out sometime. This one is totally *new*. There's a thread about it on the first page. You also got Killer 7 which looks very interesting IMO. Resembles a dark anime-type movie. Dead Pheonix, Final Fantasy, F-Zero, Zelda, Metroid Prime 2 (this won't be out for a while tho), PN03...there's a lot of unannounced as well. Factor 5, the most technologically-capable developer for GC, has some action game in the works supposedly. Silicon Knights might finally release Too Human, which was originally coming out for the original Playstation.
And of course Soul Calibur 2, which is going to be best on Gamecube cuz it has Link in it :D
Oh, there's also Mario Kart ;)

yea, and just the simple fact that the PS2 is the successor to the PS1, they had a lot of momentum going into this......Sony is pretty much unstoppable now, heh. |

I loved N64, was one of the few that did I guess lol. I love the 2 Zeldas, Mario, F-Zero, Body Harvest, Conkers Bad Fur Day, James Bond: Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Wave Race, Banjo-Kazooie (shat up, I was young when I got it :p), Beetle Adventure Racing, Wipeout, Blast Corps, Donkey Kong 64, Rush 2049, Turok 2, Star Fox, 1080 Snowboarding, Smash Brothers and Diddy Kong Racing.
I was actually considering buying an N64 again just for these games. I can probably find everything bargain bin prices off of e-bay or local stores and I love some of the games on it, emulators hate me for some reason so I might just pick one up :D.
PS: Is there an N64 emulator for XBOX? |

why does the GC suck cause it looks like a toy... last time i checked they were all technically 'toys'.
just cause its expensive and you like to play with it doesnt make it not a toy. maybe the xbox falls into the 'computer' category but that doesnt make it 'better'. the GC does everything its supposed to and nothing its not. and if you can talk for its small size, id rather have that and plus a conventional dvd player over that huge in xbox...
tho where i am now i could go for ANY video games...dammit| |
