I've been on these boards a while now.. and I see a trend. Most (if not all) of our tastes are changing slowly. It is truly amazing that a trance forum such as this one will one day be embracing the progressive sound in such a positive way. Just look at the thread titled "What music did you discover in 2002?" (http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=90524&pagenumber=2)and you'll know what I mean. Most of us discovered the progressive sound last year, and hasn't looked back since. The number of progressive discussions have shot up tremendously the last year. Frequent visitors to these boards would have no doubt noticed the difference.
I just wanna say "It's great knowing I'm not alone" to you guys out there.. I used to be somewhat afraid of voicing out my love for the sound I knew I loved (read: Prog :D), but I came to realise that participants of these boards are really positive about all kinds of music and it's especially heartwarming to know everyone's moving forward and trance isn't the "only" kind of music we adore now. Thanks for being open to music, you people! |

| well I got into prog towards the end of 2002 and now I love quite much, but melodic trance still owns :D |

i discovered the prog sound..its great, however i find it silly "to move on" when in face there are plenty of quality trance being produced e.g. Matt darey, oliver lieb, anything under perfecto label.
To move on is ridiculous since no genre is higher than the other. Both have their places in my mind...if they dont have their place in ur mind..then im sorry for u |

| I love both of the sounds. But I think that if I were to start DJing (which I probably will once I get some $$$), I would spin prog. |

| this year is indefinately a proggie year for me..i also noticed a lot more progressive releases this year..tribal house has grown on me also..but thats a different thread.. |
