Guess I shouldn't be surprised...

Aaaaaawwwww I feel so *special* ... thanks Brunette for not avoiding me hahahahaha! Although im still trying to figure out how it is that you knew who I was?! Anyways ... it was nice seeing some of you out last night...brunette, halo 20, swamper, tatgirl, han solo and sooper (thanks for grabbing my coat dude I owe you one), dieTcocaine and shaya...

heres my review of the night as posted on tribe...

WOW I cant believe im reading so many negative reviews of last night. I personally had an AMAZING time as did all of the friends I went to the GUV with. I looooooooooooved every minute of Danny Howells set. It was filled with sooooooo many good tunes. And I couldnt believe how hard he got! I definately thought he showed up last night and he kicked my skinny ass all across the GUV dancefloor last night. I couldnt stop pogoing around the club to his "dirty ass tek funk" beats. That was one of the craziest sets I have ever heard in that room, it was driving peak time big room house music at its best! And you gotta love the way Danny gets into his sets, hes so much fun to watch!

Mark Oliver and Manzone and Strong also pumped out some really nice jackin house tunes in the main room and in the Drink respectively.

In terms of overcrowding and rude people. It actually didnt turn out as bad as I thought it was going to turn out as I was preparing myself for alot worse. The crowd didnt bother me at all, everyone that I met or talked to seemed friendly to me, and almost everyone that I spoke to said they were LOVING Danny's beats!

I didnt really notice too much in the way of decorations for the "Red Light District" but I mean whatever, I never really cared much for that in the first place as my main reason for going was to hear a Dannylicious set last night and I got exactly that last night. DANNY HOWELLS ING OWNS! Last night reaffirmed all of my opinions on that man. He is EASILY ONE of the BEST DJs in the world, he has some of the craziest tunes on the planet and hes one of the most "entertaining" DJs out there.

Danny Howells I LOVE YOU!

:D

And I cant wait to see him again!

My tune of the night...

Fortek 1 - Truncate

ps. Im still trying to figure out if I went to the same place as most of you did last night. Once again, I had a great time, Danny NEVER disappoints me.

As far as Guv crowds go, they weren't too bad last nite, with the exception of the unnecessary abundance of in' whistle blowers!!!

ugh...tell me about it! that is so annoying...especially when you're hearing that same 'pattern' all in night!

As far as Guv crowds go, they weren't too bad last nite, with the exception of the unnecessary abundance of in' whistle blowers!!! :whip: :whip: :whip: (Durafei- that same shmuck w/the whistle was there who we had a run-in with back over Halloween, & he was being really crude to the dancers).

On my way out as I was leaving with my friend Sean (who I came with if any of you remember) we ran into None other than Del himself. I pointed him in the direction of the TA "area" and hoped it would work itself out. As for the whistle blower I wanted to shoot him in the head.:) I can't stand that...good thing I had earplugs, dulled the annoyance for a bit. I had a blast on Sat!! It was just a wicked party. The vibe was good, it was a bit packed but nothing insane (ala Labour of Love). It was funny because after asking Sean what he thought of it (was his FIRST time @ Guv...) he says "It was good, I can see why you're addicted!" lol.:p See you @ Scott Bond whoever comes.

I got there at 3:30 and the coatcheck line was a joke.. they expected me to line up with all the ppl getting their jackets back in order to check mine.. The line was huge! So I talked to the bouncer and got myself, 3 friends jackets and made a mad dash to the car on Jarvis and came back... Smartest thing too.. cuz the coat check line @ 6:30 was a mess, it went all the way to the acid lounge.. WTF! :whip:

I liked the last 1.5 hours of Howell's set.. I didn't really catch too much before that.. The place was crowded and the vibe was a little lacking but the music made up for it.

As for the rudeness in the crowd that I've read in some reviews..uhm.. its probably that post-valentines day trauma or something..lol :haha:

Well I didn't make the trip to Guverment thank god!! Montreal + Danny Howells Techno!! WOW!! Anyways heres my review from Aria.

Wasn't a big fan of Aria the first time I was there ( Danny Howells last year) This year I was a little more impressed the sound was excellent and the vibe was allright. A lot of shirtless wonders! Anyways made the trip down to Montreal and got in for free thanks to Luke Fair's Guest list. Luke opened up with a bang dropping his new mix of Mary J Blidge and a wicked track "The Beat Goes on..." Anyways Seb came on and totally put me to sleep, didn't even sound like he was mixing his tracks, all sounded the same. I think I sat for most his boring ass set. Danny arives at around 6:00am with his little touque on smiling away and waving at the crowd...then slammed us with a stellar techno set!! Hard and relentless is how some explained dropped his now famous "nobody listens to techno" (Deep Dish and Danny remix) with a nice twist to it. He was having a blast behind the decks and I heard he played for 45mins after they turned the lights on. What a DJ. Anyways didn't make it for the Guv show as planned but I heard he rocked it there.
So glad I made the trip to Aria and can;t wait till he is back in town again - a true crowd pleaser!

Sorry to Mecha and everyone I told that I would be at Guv. We partied to 11:00am in Montreal and had mad after party. Was totally ruined by the time I got back to T.O. Kind of glad I didnt go as it sounded too packed and I lose my mind when you get bumped from every direction. Glad to hear you all had fun. Can't wait for the pics!!
