Definitely- don't worry. Unless you're trafficking drugs or running an illegal kiddie porn ring, or something extremely illegal then dont worry. Google is just there. It's not some huge monster that will kill you in your sleep.

| So what??? Nothing about the way google handles their information is that *unusual* per-say.. Most *websites* keep logs of everyone that visits there site for a period of time, its no wonder google does the same. All that information is nothing google 'hides' or tries to make unavailable, its just been twisted to look like 'big brotherism'... you can do this with anything. |

Interesting...
lets do some math with this one.
Lets see, if they're storing that much information about every seach, it's going to take at least 1 kb of storage per search. 150 million seaches a day = 150 million kb of information per day, which is 150 GB.
If that's all true, then, Google has to be collecting almost 60 Terabytes of information every year. That's pretty wild. It's hard to imagine that its economically efficient for them to store all that information permanently when the gains they are receiving from it are questionable. |
