Yea I actually read somewhere that something like 90% of Israelis think that it is inevitable that a Palestinian state will be created. However the same number of Palestinians believe that that day will never come. The whole region in general is disgusting. |

yes, my former teacher....
and Trancegiant, I used to goto school with a palestinian girl, who's boyfriend was jewish, and went holiday with the family......

lets face it: You take the 6 million israelis and the 5 million palestinians and put them into some big black box, get PVD Tiesto and Sasha play from them, distribute some good E and you can consider the problem solved.
its just politics, media, economy and religion which keeps such conflicts alive. sad but true |

I'm sure a lot of people thrive off of the culture of hate too. Like do you think bin laden would become a normal citizen if he got all of his demands? I doubt it ... people like that enjoy the power, the struggle, and attention that they get, and are unwilling to relinquish it for anything. |

or indeed they know no other way. take many irish terrorists (from both sides). they cannot come to grips with the peace process, because it goes against their whole way of life. many of the most extreme ones are moving on to the drugs trade and other criminal activities as violent resistance becomes smaller in scope. |

What happened with the IRA? It seems that things were at a crisis in the 90s and nowadays you don't hear anything about it anymore (at least in the US). Did britain make some kind of concessions I don't know about or are the Irish more or less placated? |
