Show me proof of israel's murderous army. What about America? they killed hundreds bombing the out of afgan, or the dozens of other countries that attack us??
israel goes through rigourous procedures to ensure that innocent people don't die. They don't air bomb terrorist sites because they don't want to hurt innocent civilans... but of course if 1 person dies while killing terrorists that have killed and will kill more, 1 person was being used a human shield by the terrorists and is killed, the entire israeli army is labelled 'murderous'...

just a simple rebuttal to what might be a minute point in this argument, but Israel did indeed use aircraft, well at least once, in raids on terrorist sites. such as when they bombed the house of Hamas (or was it Hezbollah's) leader with an F-15, killing at least 14 memebers of his family (mostly children) in the process. I think Sharon did call this a "great success" as well. Now I'm sure you could counter by saying that since these were children of terrorists, they in the process of being brainwashed into being future terrorists and therefore they were not "innocent civilians" but that's not the point.
I do commend the Israeli army for doing what it can so that it ensures the least amount of collateral damage, though at some times I do feel that they take this license beyond a reasonable limit. I do feel that the way that they are approaching the situation on the diplomatic level leaves something else to be desired.
Just one more thing: since the news I mainly read is from what you would probably deem liberal media outlets, I enjoy very much hearing views and such from "the other side," especially in this forum. But most of what I have read lately from you (and from some others as well ;) ) does nothing but degrade other people's views and incite bad feelings all around. If you wish for ppl such as myself to see and understand the way you see things, I would suggest that you write in a calm manner that clearly and reasonably set forth your argument. Believe me, subtlety works a lot better than inflammatory language when you are trying to prove a point. Right now, it seems that all you're trying to do in here is insult ppl and cause public disorder, rather than constructively exchange ideas and open up ppl to other ways of looking at the world, which I believe is the primary purpose behind a forum such as this. |
