I couldn't help myself but to respond something here. Most big clubs use Rane mixers such as Mp44z, 2016 rotary with matching processor, or MP 22z. Rane came out with a reaaly great 10" mixer the Empath:

AND

Allen and Heath make really good mixers but Rane has a better sound clearity, and THEY ARE NOT JUST FOR CLUB USING, I tried XONE 62 in my bedroom set up where I have a really good sound set up(2 Crown Amps, for monitors and Cerwin Vegas 12" Floor speakers) and it worked great, but I went with Tascam X-9, 'cause of all the extra features you get with it on top of just frequency and eq filters. But A&H do make what I think is the best mixer in the world and yes it is a rotary. Most Pro DJs do prefer using rotary mixers 'cause they are a lot more smoother and more accurate as far as levels go.

A&H XONE V6

only problem with this mixer is that is costs USD $$$4800.00

DJM600 was great at one time, about 5-6 years ago, but it's way passed its prime and it is time Pioneer came out with an UPDATED model, still wanna buy DJM600, well how about I save you USD $800.00-900.00 with this one:

My buddy bought DJM600 3 months ago,two months later he tried A&H Xone 62 at my house and started to dislike his DJM600, now that I own Tascam X-9, he REALLY WISHES HE HADN'T BOUGHT PIONEER DJM600.
There are plenty of other much better mixers than DJM600, Rane Empath, Xone62, Tascam X-9, Rane 22z, even Numark is coming out with brand new mixer that is better than DJM 600

Don't forget Numark Mixers are being made with Alesis power. This one above is the PPD9000 will be priced somewhere around USD $1050.00-$1250.00.
I suggest you go to a DJ Equipment store and play with Empath and Xone 62 to see which one feels more comfortable to YOU, and then make your decision.

Nice comment there you in pubic lice piece of .

For a start I took it that he wanted a mixer for his bedroom or house whatever. In that case there is no point in buying the allen and heath because you don't get the superior sound quality out of it on a home set up. believe me when i say this cos i have owned one. It has to be used in a club enviroment for you to really appreciate the huge spec it has.

I certainlly don't think the pioneer is a better mixer than the a&h.

So instead of making worthless comments like "lol" to boost your post why don't you post something costructive instead.

P.s who the are you to say china makes anything g-money.

For a start they make most nike stuff which is probably the largest clothes wear company the western world has. so before you go go pissing on chinas parade why don't you yanks start looking at yourselfs instead of always pretending you are somebody. cos lets face it your not g-money.

^^^I think you need to relax duke...

That was a really constructive post on your behalf as well
chesco
relax nothing. I'm sick of little fannys that come on chat boards and make idiotic comments, like lol.

I mean for s sake what is that.

secondly I think youll find my comment constructive, because it does actually give some well neede information about the allen and heath if you had cared topay attention to that part.

And his comment about china is way way out of order. who the does he think he is.

No i'm not calling you a little fanny, so don't start all these paranoia trips (you must be poppin to many disco burgers). I'm talking about that fanny g-money.

What I said is i hate stupid folk that post things like "lol" as there respose. AS IN JUST LOL AND NOTHING ELSE. Why can't they post something worthwhile, instead of taking up good space on this web page.

I own a Rane 2016 and I love it.

If you are starting out the Rane is more difficult to learn on because it forces you to use proper technique. Since you can only monitor a single channel at a time you must beat match against an external monitor. When I started to DJ I had a DJM-300 and absolutely no guidance. I would beat match with the cue channel and master channel playing over each other in my phones. While this was easier it left me in my own world and disconnected me the crowd. Not a good thing.

Once I bought a Rane I was forced to learn proper technique. Now I just wish I would have been forced to do it right the first time.

So that said -- you really can’t go wrong with the 2016. It sounds great, is very flexible, expandable and reliable, and it is a desirable mixer so you can always dump it on eBay and recoup 70%-80% of your costs.

Hope this helps...

i have a xone62 in my bedroom setup and its great. one thing that i will disagree with chesco is that... people do have nice systems in their rooms. atleast i do. and it doesnt take a nice system to hear a difference. i once tried to mix on my friends djm-600 and it sounded really crappy on like.. regular floor speakers. even the headphone monitor was not clear at all. eversince he played with my mixer he has been begging me to borrow it all the time and wnating to take it for a weekend to work on his demo.
