I'd heard about this guy many a time, but never really checked him out. I listened to his transport cd recently and was totally blown away, definitely my pick out of the series. And he's Canadian! I'm surprised we don't hear more of him in these forums. I know he's had residencies overseas, but where (and when) does he spin around here?? I also want to buy the transport disc but it's never in the music shops...they should support a Canadian artist!:)

Also, he has a wicked site worth checking out, mint set downloads too;)

Max Graham is my favorite DJ. Check out transport 4 (as you already have), and also his Cream CD is excellent.

Get a hold of his...

Set from Tonic (opening for Oakenfold), it's mindblowing
Max Graham - Sepia
Max Graham - Airtight
Max Graham - Shoreline
Max Graham - Falling Together
Max Graham - Backdraft
Bullit - Cried to Dream (Max Graham Remix)
Vicious Circles - Vicious Circles (Max Graham Remix)
Barraka - Song to the Siren (Max Graham Remix)

Graham is one of my faves too...along with Danny Howells...

Saw him twice last year, on Canada Day at the Guv and he blew me away. One of my best nights of last year, encore after encore, dancing with the lights on until 9:30am! He wasn't as great on NYE but still excellent. In fact, you can grab an hour of his NYE set on his site along with some others...

yes, yes...that 1 hour clip is mint. All those sets are loaded with solid groove laden tracks. Pure quality deepness...

It seems he was quite successful in the UK.

Max will be going on tour in Hong Kong in the near future and they're pretty hyped to have him .. would be kinda cool to catch him in a different country since i have yet to see him here ..

Also one of my top 3 for sure! Saw him spin 3 times now and he has yet to dissapoint. His web site is constantly being upgraded with new sets to download. The first DJ I have witnessed actually successfully scratch to house beats!!! WOW!

For the record that NYE set of his a little out of character. Max himself admitted that he went a little too far on the techno tip that night. And personally I like his two calgary sets a lot better. But too each their own meh!

I 'accidently' caught him live @ Sona in mtl back in oct/nov 2000 ... I showed up there at 5am with no idea who was on the bill for the night - it was a good surprise and I was hooked from then on :)

I also caught him @ Turbo, Tonic (Apr/2001) and most recently last Victoria Day weekend in mtl @ a 514 party in the forum.. wow.. that was great.. he was on the dance floor after and I was talking to him - cool guy, I wanted to know if he still plays Conjure 1 - Redemption (Max Graham Dead Sea Mix) which he said yea but he couldn't ever find the right point to mix it into a set...

He tends to start off kinda boring in his sets but after the halfway mark it nonstop kick ass beats :D

I got the chance to party with him during his birthday party last year (April 17th) which is where I incidentally met Nat for the first time.

max's birthday party = pete tong's small dj big club gig at 5ive

WHAT A NIGHT !

(Oddly my flight to London leaves April 17th this year, weird!)

I like it when prog dj's do sets like that (Deep Dish especially). I find starting a set slow and basic makes the set all the more mind blowing when you get to the prime beats that follow!!!
