This post makes me laugh because it totally singles out the rookies in the crowd of veterans.
Who remembers the E-master get well thread? Well for the kids who don't, our buddy and pal was in the hospital, and as a joke I suggested we all change our avatars to women (for some reason I thought it would inspire E-master to get well).
Although I can't take credit for the gorgeous women in the ta avatars I do like to think that I spawned an avatar revolution so to speak.
I personally think the half naked women are hilarious, it totally brings out the humor in this site. Look at Liam's avatar, or even Swamper's for that matter. They are NOT reflections of one self, however ones posts are. And Dr. Z we all know you are the pro-gino avatar hating ta that you are.
As far as Tara's concerns go, I totally see her point. However, I'd like to think if someone wouldn't post here because of someones avatar they probably don't belong here in the first place. TA gets ruthless, and cuthroat. Looking at someones avatar shouldn't be a big deal. |

I know what my sig looks like... after all, I wrote that text in it at some point in time, didn't I?
And I turned off the sigs once I realized that sigs take up 90% of page load... |

Yes thats true but even before that there were chicks in sigs/avatars. And there were some explicit ones, like LKD's sig of 20+ all nude women.

Umm, lol. Of corse they are reflections of one's self. Whenever someone reads someone's post they look at the avatar. Then at some point that person changes their avatar. Both avatars could be making jokes, but they would both be similar type of jokes. If you meet the person they'll show the same characteristics.
When I met LKD at enTrance, he acted the same way as his avatar. He probably thought he was "better" than I. Saw me for the first time, thinking, some dude dressed like a raver, young, he probably thought I was even drugged out. We talked for like 10 seconds. He gave me the impression " off" with some stern look. We haven't talked the rest of the party.

huh? Tara has the same point as I do. You just said that people get repulsed from certain avatars yet its not a problem? No wonder people (especially girls) get repulsed from this place. They come and all they see is 1/2 naked women avatars with a buch of guys behind them. I'm not even mentioning the egoism.

do u want to know something??
i met a load of new people that night..i have a horrible memory with faces and the whole night i thought elmo on XTC was u...i even remember calling him Z sometimes... i took a picture of him with his own camera and when he posted all the pics i realised that i had the wrong person.....afterwards i concluded that i DIDNT meet Dr. Z but i had met elmo on xtc (see the phonetics and imagine hearing both in the midst of such high volume) |
