that reminds me the last competition, i also asked the same question and someone proposed himself to do the ftp for uploading the mixes, but then everybody diden't speek again about it.

so if they are some volonteers they are welcome, the only thing we can do is compress them in 84 86 kbps in ogg, to win lot of place.

actually, Most of my work is completed on my computer. Been mixin via cpu since 98. Use acid, sonif foundry, fruityloops. As for this competition, i'll probably be using Atomix, as it is a live mixer

isn't computer mixing not really fair? Not to piss anyone off but that really doesn't show true talent. I would rather have someone give me a mix that they tried 500 millions times trying to make and put effort into it, instead of someone handing me a mix they just slapped together in 30 mins. But that's just me :toothless

btw, good luck people :)

I don't see specially what it changes because on a cd player you put some buttons on (cue pitch, pitch bend play pause and so on), on a PC mixing it is just the same exept that these functions are on the keyboard key.
what is the difference ??, i can understand between vinyl and MP3.

but there isn't so much difference.

You can train a mix so much you can but the real professional doesn't prepare the hole set, they know what they will mix as musik but you never can tell by heart and precisely what they will mix.

MP3 mixing doesn't get it easyer, try it and then we will speak about it ;)

well I mean....I'm talking about like, I've seen people use Acid Pro to make their mixes. And they make it sound so precise that it almost sounds to good to be real :D . I have played with other programs like trakktor and stuff but it just seems to much of a pain in the ass :). But personally I would rather mix with vinyl, let me know when you'll have a link of someone using trakktor. I want to see how good it sounds?

you can go on my homesite and download some mixes, i don't use traktor but deejaysystem, and i mix with generally a 0.01 pitch presicion (it takes time to find it) but it works very well.
