Scott Bond/Gatecrasher & Victor Dinaire @ Arc Review

Ok, first of all, WHERE THE HELL WERE YOU GUYS??? TAs were in low numbers at this event, I am sad to say. However, although you missed some great music....you didn't miss a large crowd or good vibe. The people were cool but they just didn't seem to know, love and/or appreciate the music the way, well, the way a TA does. :D

Anyhow, Eddie Bang was cool..dropped James Holden - Nothing which made Daniela happy, but a little too proggy for me to dance to. Scott Bond came on with the REAL bang and rocked the house. Fortunately I had Tom nearby to trainspot so I never had to stop and think about what I was hearing..some tracks I remember are:

Scott Bond vs. Solarstone - The 3rd Earth (AWESOME)
Above & Beyond - Far from in love
Marco V - Echoes (w00t!!)
Solarstone - Solar Coaster
Jan Johnston - Calling Your Name
Aly and Fila - Eye of horns (im not really sure about this, Ian can confirm)
actually, let me stop there because Tom and Ian are way better at this. Even tho Tom, John, Genny, Michelle, etc had to leave early
:whip: :whip: :whip: :D

ok yeah, so that was Scott..pretty hard and energetic, I was feeling him more than Matt Hardwick. There were a few strange "issues" with his mixing, but Ian assured me this was an equipment issue.

on to VICTOR DINAIRE!!! yeah, you all know I love him. And tonight only made that love grow. I tell you, Vic is so connected with his crowd and he just pumps out hardcore beats that make you want to dance till you drop. I could give a much more detailed tracklisting of his set, since he plays every single one of my favorite songs, but let me highlight the best choons:

Tomcraft - Loneliness (yep, i DIED)
Body Shock - Rock this House (w00t - i love this so much)
Solarstone - Solarcoaster (I so needed this little break cause his set was FIERCE!!)
Kid Vicious - Proceed (my personal request. THANKS VIC!!)
Capetown - Pitstop
AvB - Yet Another Dub
Rapid Eye - Circa Forever (Rapid Eye Remix?)
Prime Mover (or is it Revolution 9) - The Weapon (i thought of u f0x!)

I will let Victor post a complete tracklist...I know I missed some awesome tracks. I couldn't stop dancing. The crowd was tough and had really thinned out but Vic had us hard core partiers bouncing off the walls and guzzling h20 like it was going out of style. And, of course, his mixing was _flawless_. Guys, seriously, if you haven't caught one of Vic's sets...make it a point to go. He really is amazing.

Ok, time to wrap it up with my shout outS:
Daniela - a pleasure, as always. :D Thanks for the ride!
Choobak: SOOOOOOOOO nice to meet you!
Trancer/Alex: HA! I remembered your name this time. Thanks for bugging out with me to loneliness and for lending me your marker. I got my sig!
Ian: Nice to talk to you for five seconds, haha. :haha: Really, tho, share the wealth next time. :p
Isaac: You know I love partying with you..see you at Mauro!
Daphna: Nice to see you again!
Leitline/Missy: I couldn't hack SF. hope you had fun, Great to meet u!
John, Tom & Crew: Tom I missed you dearly, but nice to see all of you for a bit
and BRYAN: you're the best dancer I've ever seen. can't wait to go to SF with you :D

Did i forget anyone? If so, sorry....but I think everyone is sick of reading this by now. If they even got this far.

what an awesome night, those who didnt show missed out. Scott Bond opened with 3rd Earth, and played some great uplifting tracks for a while, then he got hard, i mean techno hard, was lovin it. Then kept going with uplifting trance. Heard some great tunes including Dark Sweet Piano, great new vocal remix of Rank 1 - Airwave, and a classic Jam & Spoon - Odyssey to Anyoona, was soaking that one up. Was one music stopage incident, but was quickly forgotten. Then came Victor, what can I say about the man, wow! cant even list all the great tracks, Brianna asked me to write on my cell Kid Vicious - Proceed and show him and guess what song he plays next, you got it. Closed out the place.

highlights i remember:

Scott Bond vs Solarstone - 3rd Earth
Solarstone - Solarcoaster
2 Players - Signet
Jan Johnston - Calling Your Name
Jam & Spoon - Odyssey to Anyoona
Rank 1 - Airwave (new remix)
Dark Suite - Dark Sweet Piano
Above & Beyond - Far From in Love

help with the rest im missing
Victor Dinaire had too many goodies to list!!!

The crew that was there, was fun as always, and nice meeting ya Leitline (Missy), Daniela, where did you disappear to, left early?

Gatecrasher returns 05/03/03, unclear yet who is spinning

wow seems like u had a great time.. i took this week off(financially unstable atm..) always good listening to trance on the phazon, i seriously thought pvd twilo days were the only time that i would get to hear trance on phazon..heheh its funny that the first time arc blasted trance after they opened, was indeed pvd again(charity event..)and sice then it seems like theres no stopping.. its been trancetastic there past few months.. getting j00f, marco, hardwick, bond, talla, even mario piu and not to mention VD ! hope they keep getting quality trance artists so that it can stay being a diverse club where all genres are appreciated(this type of thing you'll never see in the uk..) and i think that its really great for the club cuture in nyc and for the whole scence... recently arc even had a "rave" event held there organized by cousins called "love shack" and d&b was first heard(i think in the arcade but still!) its cool that arc's booking different talents there and if they continue to do so, arc will def. make a name for themselves(if they havent already..)
:D

My review:

I got in late and missed what I was told was an amazing first hour were he dropped Timegate, Area 52, Solorcoaster, and 3rd earth. At 3 when I was there he was playing some hard ass stuff. I liked bond alot more at exit and roxy but I thought that hes arc set was good overall(mixing wise). I felt really bad when the record stoped. The Vibe in arc really ing blew. I heard people who went to Teneglia complained about the same thing. This was one of the worst vibes I had ever seen at arc (lets hope this was a bad weekend) As fo ryou guys HIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!! I had an awsome time with all of you. Im glad most of you got a chance to meet my crew:D . We left around 5 due to my lack of energy.

Victor~ Sorry I coulnt stay for your set I was BEAT!:toothless

The lazers at arc where awsome and SUPRISINGLY the Lights were awsome also( nice blend ) The sound was crisp as usaul. The song that I enjoyed was Breathing 2003 remix. Ok time to prepare for the real show......... winter conferance:crazy: :eyespop:
