im just gonna say it straight. but i am just sick and tired of black comedians making fun of white people or white folks all the time in their jokes. have you noticed that every black comedian jokes always consist of making fun of at least once white people. their racist and stereotype comments. im sure some of you have COMEDY CENTRAL and i occasionally watch PREMIUM Blend or Comic Remix and other stand up comedy. I love watching stand up comedy and it gets a fair share of ones that suck and are not that funny. Im not only talking about Dave Chappelle or Chris Rock. now those guys are already big. But other black comedians just make fun of white and other race just too much. That is their main recipe in their jokes.
now i haven't seen a white person make fun of blacks or joke about with stereotypes. because they are afraid with all the media and blacks saying they are offended by such things. i don't know there is so many htings to say about it but i don't want to continue so you guys won't think im in the KKK or something. what is your take on this. by the way, i already brought up this topic before in real llife as well and obviously it doesn't get pleasant for some people. so im used to all the flames. |

| I have no problem w/ blacks making fun of whites, but the double standard is unfortunate, and pretty damn stupid. |

| in comedy....everyone makes fun of everyone....i don't think there are things that ppl don't touch. |

hehe i have to deal with this every day in some multi-racial awareness class im taking. The basic gist of it uses a principle set down by Beverly Tatum which states that racism is a "system of gain". so technically white people making those remarks is racist because it helps hold the minorities down, but black people saying it CANT be racist because there is no system of gain there and even if one individual gains from such remarks the sytem is still in favor of Whites, thus they are not racist...just prejudiced and discriminatory, which i guess is better somehow? its all semantic bull but people say blacks are just tellin it like it is and white people are just racist s keepin everyone down.
I totally disagree with this view but...if you wanted to know why thats a big part of it ;) |

| well, i suppose it's the "hip" thing to do. besides, from what i heard, they make fun of racism more than they make fun of white people. |

| Martin Lawrence is clearly out of ideas and thinks everything funny has to be about white people. He clearly overdoes it in EVERY movie and stand up act , and yet, his comedy is very stale and boring. he's on his way out from the spotlight and that's only good news. |
