Lol.. how true....
I've seen Sasha*Digweed sooo many times at Twilo (before it closed) and I would agree completely.
However... Call me what you want.. Not many things make me feel happier than an awesome uplifting set (a la Hardwick). Holden will be good, and I'll dance my ass off, but Corsten will knock my socks off (as always, old tunes or not). |

well i'm not commenting on this lineup because to me it's not that mindblowingly out of this world; don't get me wrong, i'm not complaining (cept for maybe Corsten :p).
I know I'll have a good time though, even though I have no idea what to expect from Holden. |

| I don't understand why they'll let Mark spin alone at Guv and put all headliners at Kool Haus? Not only will the headliners spin short sets(1 hour tops BT, 2.5 hours for Corsten, 2.5 Holden, 2 hours of other guys), but Kool Haus will also be extremely packed. Why not make it a special event, and only let people be at Kool Haus then? I don't understand this. |

yeah...I'm curious as to what the logic is behond it. You'd think that there'd be atleast one other dj in there w/ him. I'm not going to waste any more brain cells thinking about it...I'm not sure I have so many to spare.

12am meetup time is too early- Switch it to 1am, like usual. Not everyone will be inside by 12.
Meet up spot? How about same place we met at Tiesto? Enter thru doors to KH, and head straight back towards a pair of fire exit doors (especially since we all need to 'make friends' with these special little doors). The doors are to the right of the bar at the back there. |

I also think it's funny how people are complaining. Do we ever not complain? This lineup is incredible, regardless your personal feelings towards which dj you think is better. We should be kissing their ass, not the other way around.
That is the number one argument against Toronto, we are picky snobby bastards who always bitch. Montreal, they let it ride. Personally, Montreal, I just think we could learn something from them every once and a while.

Someone has to say it...
Thank you Charlie! |
I'm with you on this one, the line up for a spin saturday is exceptional, and i'm not saying that just because of Corsten or Holden (both of whome are crowd pullers) but also because of the inclusion of Bill Hamel, BT and Addy. In my mind i expect the lineup to be something like :
Addy
Hamel
BT
Holden
Corsten
although I would much rather prefere BT going before Hamel and Corsten being shifted to Guv where he can play after Mark O. Nothing against Corsten, but i feel his brand of trance just won't fit in well with the progressive tunes that will probably be dropped before him. Then again, maybe Corsten will suprise us all and start off playing a little prog and then deviate more towards the trancey stuff (a la Tiesto..although i doubt this will happen)
Ultimately though, this nite promises to be very special, even though people are worried about the kind of set that Holden will drop i think if nothing else we will get to hear a variety of styles peppered in with a live performance which is always a good thing.
Cheers Guvy for once again bringing us the very best in electronic music !!! |

I personally am very happy with this development. Yeah, so some sets might be a little short... but at least I'll get to see everyone! I didn't want to have to choose, for example, between BT & Holden.
And to whichever prog head said that BT would suck, I thought BT has become more and more progressive in recent years? Ah well, progressive or not, that set will kick, as will the others!
But Mark all alone in the Guv... poor guy. But I'm sure the regular Guv crowd will still be in the Guv, so it's not like he'll be spinning to an empty room. |

All this quibbling over who's spinning in which room. We really are spoiled. Most cities in N. America would KILL to get just 1 of the headliners we're getting on Sat.
When Scott Bond was here, I asked him about the Matrix Club in Italy, where he's played. (Matrix is sort of run by the management agency, Metempsicosi, who handles the BXR DJ's). Bond said that Matrix was "THE best club I've been to in 3 years!"
Why?
"Because they can have a trance DJ, a techno DJ and a house DJ all spin in the same room, and EVERYONE has a good time." |

Don't look at me, I've been militantly defending the Guvernment from the beginning. This party is unbelievable awesome!
She's right though: quit'cher bitchin! |
