Lightning Records shuts down?

So I see that as of March 4 2003 Ligtning records will be closed for good.....

Does anybody know what this means to all the other lables (Bonzai, etc)? I guess their gone too..
If Lightning records closes and all these labels close that would be a BIG disappointment and loss for the trance community....
Some of my favorite stuff has come out of Bonzia/Lightning...
It turns out that the went bankrupt...
FYI: Here are some of the lightening artists:

Push
yves deruyter
tyrome
sunscreem
plastic boy

| well mike and lolo are trying to save it actually but if they went under, it would not be the first or nor the last record label to go under. Mike and Lolo would have no problem finding new labels, neither would yves deruyter. |

Yeah, I've seen your posts in the music forum. This is unfortunate - lets just hope the artists still keep putting out good tunes (on other labels).
They had a good thing going, too bad it went south....

| or another company may just buy them and take over.....who knows. Labels fold every so often and artists just pick up and go elsewhere. It's a fact of life. |

It was my home for many years,and with lots of pain and sorrow it's an end of an era.
As we all know Lightning suffered from low CD sales,getting attacked by MP3 downloading,and sales droping all over.
It's a sad day and a loss of a monumentary...
but every END is a new START...
And hopefully also for the Lightning crew.
As i was part of that crew,i will go my own way.
But one thing is for sure...
M.I.K.E. will be back,and more than ever!!!
First of all getting up and running SCANNER records
the next couple of weeks.
But there is more good news on the way...
Be ready for the new PUSH,PLASTIC BOY,M.I.K.E.soon.
The only thing i can say is thanks for the support for many many years.
Let's go for a better future and music will guide your way...

Um, ok... Lightning (bonzia) produced some amazing stuff....
They've been a staple of trance for very long.. I guess you can't be on top forever, but I hope the artists get picked up by other labels. |

ok, i don't care about lightning, BUT SPARE BONZAI!

well if they all go down, it won't be a "fatal blow" by any means. like torontotrance said, these guys won't have problems signing up with other labels. |
