The UK TA's are all about Hardhouse and Hardtrance, that's what Godskitchen is specialised in as well. They are too narrow minded to enjoy a festival with quality house/prog/techno/drum 'n bass music, so don't listen to them.... ;) |

Well said Az
Maybe this thread should've been called "What's Homelands like? (but please only reply with positive comments)" or something :D
If you like the lineup then go, it's a good festival, but Global Gathering will have the better atmosphere and more varied lineup. A very high percentage of the Homelands crowd are only there for the garage/dnb arenas because this music is very popular down here in the South. Given that Slinky aren't there this year, it'll probably be an even bigger percentage. Nothing against them, but the don't contribute to a festival atmosphere like trance/HH fans do.
There's plenty of prog at Global Gathering. Join the annual TA Global Meetup and we'll show you dutchies how to party properly ;) |

now now guys no need to start swearing and calling names now is there!!
It's just a matter of taste and preference. I think Volksjoolz made a good comment! People have to find out for themselves whether they like the festival or not!
Most of the Dutchies have already made up their mind so it seems, so leave them in peace and let them have a wicked time @ Homelands rite?
Same goes for the UKTAs (and me and all other foreign TAs), let them kick it live @ Global Gathering
Oh and I'm not a trance lover but I absolutely DIGGED last years GG line up :)
I hope I can bring my best friend from SA :) Weeeeeeee

Trance Energy isn't e either :p Yes it's cheesy as but it's still a great night :) |
Nah, your wrong. Mostly only the kiddies go to Trance Energy (17 years and younger). Most of the Dutch TA's or 19-20 or over that age.
I think the percentage of people going to their first big rave is 60%, same as Sensation. Its a hype, its a commercially made party!!
People that visit TE dont know about the dj's, about house etc etc. I think 90% of the Holland TA's s on Trance Energy.
Not only bout the people, but also the line-up: its the same e over and over. Dj Jean :whip: , Johan Gielen :whip:
Think we are more progressive minded, so Homelands will do fine. But GGCS looks nice also. Dont think i got the money to visit both..mainly cause there is Tiesto in Concert & Mayday also, which i will attend. (I will be Miss P's driver :p OHOH! ;))

:D beware of the stampende voetties :D
anyhow, TE is really a great party for foerign trance lovers. I've spoken to manu non NLTAs that had a brilliant time at TE. Maybe becuase they don't have as high standards as we do....prolly cuz we're just too spoiled ;)
Altho TE's not my kind of thing, I had a blast with Spad, Jas, Jimmy & Coup and I would've loved to accompany Stevetranz4ever, sipowitz, Glorie and the other 60-something Sweeds that went to TE this year. It's al about the experience you have at a party with foreigners...it rules :)
Thumbs up for making it to GG this year :) |
