Fantastic night!
Congrats and many thanks to DJ Tek, Kid Nyce, and co.
Thanks to the Alphabet Lounge for providing a place. It seems to be a pretty nice place. I hope their mgmt wasn't too pissed off from DJ Tek going a little overtime that there can't be another session there.

DJ Tek did a very good set at Exit, but I think this one was far superior.
Seemed like the Mackie sound system had trouble handling him at times.
The place was filled well all the way til closing, and it seemed that many of the non-TA's there were digging the tunes. They probably thought we were a little weird in how excited we got over certain tracks. :p
Cool visuals too.

I can't believe how much DJ Tek 0wnZ!!!! :haha: :eyes: he has so much talent, if anyone ever called him amateur i would smacK them f0x style :whip:

i really wanted to be there to catch the opening Dj but driving home from RI was a real beeotch, so i got to the lounge around 1:30, good thing tae started late! :p i loved it when he played Hybrid - If I Survive.. Tunage!!!!

the lounge was cool-- we had a makeshift dancefloor ;) but it was cool because we got to socialize/talk more than just bounce around and scream at each other when a good song came on like we normally do in clubs. :haha: We even had a few celebrity appearances... Ali G was there (dressed head to toe in tacky ass Gucci-print clothing, and quite annoying, especially at the end  ) and Andy Garcia (the bartender :stongue: )

i'm really lookin forward to the next tfst night @ downtime... :wtf: :toothless :toothless :toothless

Tae, you were awesome! It's usually really hard to sit in a lounge, and just listen to the music without dancing. Your set really held my attention. I would love to hear you spin in a place with a dancefloor and good sound system. Your set gave me so much energy but I didn't want to make a fool out of myself. If you are spinning at Downtime they have a medium size dancefloor and a decent sound system. Not sure if anyone told you, but the speaker over the lounge itself made the bass all distorted. Up by you the sound was perfect so you couldn't tell. Usually I can trainspot many songs from a Trance Set. Last night I was having alot of trouble. This is what impressed me so much. I love hearing a quality set of new that I never heard. Please post a tracklist.

On a side note, Teneglia sucked. I went to Arc party after Tae's set. I don't understand how he draws such a huge crowd. Waited outside on line for an hour, coat check for 30 minutes, and heard mostly some slow tribal/house mixed with disco diva vocals. Did anyone check out the SF party. I wanted to go, but 4:00am was too late. Acosta would have been off but Lodi would have still been better than Teneglia.

In my opinion this was one of the top three trance sets I have heard in the last 4 or 5 months. I arrived at the Alphabet lounge around 2am to see everyone was there already. On out way in from outside we could hear the music. Tom was like " Damm hes killing it in there." lol and did he ever. The vibe was perfect, all my good friends were out and about. Like tom said, you played alot of stuff I have never heard before in a club or ever anywhere. The song that I loved was Yahell ~ Open your mind (MAGIKAL REMAKE) Oh man just AMAZING. I thought that the lounge was a perfect venue for the party. It was comfterbale and easy to socialize.

I thought that the management/ security could of been better

Special thanks to Tae and Brian for thowing an awsome party.

Tae- I dont want to have to wait until may to see you spin again lol. :D

TENEGLIA
Jayme you were wrong, hehehehee

The line was about a 30 to 40 min. wait and it was FREEZING balls outside. I arrived there around 430 and bye the time I was on the dance floor it was 530. Teneglia was playing slow house stuff around then. I heard at least 2 trance songs wich was a nice change. The club was packed but not as bad as his 4 year anniversary. The crowd was very mixed, but at times I found myself getting pretty pissed at a few individuals who didnt know how to say excuseme. At like 630 danny announces that he has a some friends in the booth (Stephan K & yoko ono)

Yoko ono~ Danny played the dub to some old song she made and she sang live for us. I can sum her performance up in two words asain orgazam YEP thats what it was! ( IF you were there you would understand)

I didnt like his set that much at all. He played to much discoish house and not enough TEch house. I thought that his set for the 4 year anny and his set at Club Brazil (Hamptons end of summer party) were both WAYYYYYYY better.

Oh ya he played flash Green velvet remix I LOVE THIS SONG !

i got there pretty early, caught the last half hour or so of doug's set. i'm not too into prog/breaks, but it was a nice bumpin' set.

venue was nice, sadly no dancefloor and lights were too bright. BUT, soon enough, they turned it off and it got much better. might've been tek's set that made it better tho. ;)

anyhow, it was my first time hearing tek, and i was impressed. mixing was great, progression of the set was great, and the track selection was off the hook. 'altitude' was my high of the nite, along with the closer 'universal nation 2003'. i'll definitely show up at the next djtek set in support. :D

as always, it was nice meeting everyone, and trying to learn a few new names. sorry for not being too social, i've had a loong-ass week and was ready to pass out even before i got there. but hey, in support of trance? i'll definetly make it.

big ups to brian, tek, akko, and whoever else helped put together the party. it was a rocking nite and i'll be at the next one for sure.

*edit, for future reference, i was the asian dude with the tan kangol baseball cap on the whole nite lurking in the corners. hahaa :D

first off i want to thank everyone for the support and love. i must say tek always finds a different way to drop my jaw..i mean ive heard him lots of times practicing and all but for some reason he always pulls this different loop on you, hits you when your not expecting it. ok so our first installment went pretty well but we wanna build it. i know we are looking at possibly may and our next venue to possibly be downtime, but no guarantee's. we would also like to open an invitation for all graphic designers who are interesting in designing our fliers and get your art work out there. another step in interest is that we are looking for progressive openers, so if u got a demo send an email to us @ [email protected] or just drop it off to me or tek at our next party. up until then, if ur not already on the mailing list drop us a line at the email, and thanks for the support....

love all around
much respekt~!

yay~i really wanted to see the tracklist :D i had a great time that night and i was happy to see everyone there!! i think this first party was a good learning experience for all of us..(i think we all learned the "do's and don't do's" for throwing a party that night...)
but overall, i think the size of the place was perfect for a cozy intimate atmosphere party.

tae--i think u spun really great that night :D i was so surprised that u remembered my request!!! it defenitely made my night~~~~:toothless
