Hey guys, i've never posted in this forum before, mainly because i'm from toronto area, but a HUGE habs fan.
whats the montreal media saying about the canadiens? are they gonna go anywhere this year? could theo pull out stellar performances 9 out of these last 11 games?
they have 2 game vs tampa, 2 vs carolina, and a pretty easy end of year schedule?
the way i see it, anything could happen??
all i ever hear in hamilton is leafs leafs leafs, the leafs.
what do you guys think? |

the team has been going down the hill since 1993 and I lost intrest maybe 5 years ago. I still bother to check the playoffs if they make it but that's it.
The media is already talking about next year... |

| The habs have NO chance of getting into the playoffs... that's for sure. Sorry to burst your bubble Muff2k. Well.. someone has to stick up for the leafs, so i guess that lucky person will be me. The leafs definately have the best team they have had in years. With the addition of my main man Owen Nolan (I lived in San Jose for 17 years), as well as Gilmour the leafs are looking strong. I forsee them getting as far as the Eastern Conference championship.. maybe even the CUP! |

| Yeah, it looks grim. I despise the habs, being a Sens/Bruins fan but after they beat the Bruins last year I began to like them. I feel sorry for Saku Koivu too. He is so much more than a 50 pt in 60 game player. Put him on a line with someone bigger than him and you will see a better than a point per game season. He has to take the punishment that a power forward would to get points. |

| Well, for the Leafs fans out there. Superstars don't always = success. As can clearly be seen in the Rangers. I don't think the Leafs are gonna win. They need a rally monkey or something if they wanna win (ie they're gonna have to revert to voodoo to be any good!) |

if i wanted someone to stick up for the leafs (which this discussion is not about) i would've posted this in the toronto section.
but thanks for you post!

They are only 3 points out. The islanders have a tougher schedule and they both have a few games at hand on the rangers. Theodore has played well in his last two games. If they win tonight and the islanders loose they are only one point out. I certainly dont think its time to give up yet. If theodore plays as he has the past two games for the rest of the season, its almost a sure be. However, it would only mean they would loose to the senators in the first round.
And for the leafs fans here. Please get the out. Nobody wants your opinion, not now not ever. So off. If you wanted a flame war there were other places to put it. |
