good answer. i suppose it could be because the gallup poll was using the "veteran republicans over 50 with ties to the oil industry" by accident instead of the "completely random selection lists. It's an easy mistake to make i suppose. :) |

first i dont see how you have not heard of the gallup polling company. It is a reputable company that is accepted by almost everyone. Guess what the tv news shows use for their polls primarily. Thats right they use Gallup polls unless they are doing their own unoficial poll. But occrider it totally correct, the reason why you see that the internet polls are scewed is because of sampling error. Bottom line. dont be saying that the gallup poll is inaccurate because it is way more accurate than any of the polls you have shown in this forum.
When looking at a poll see what the margin of error is. If it is more than +-3% it probably isn't that scientific.
Also look to see what the confidence Interval is. what the confidence interval does is show how confident the company is that their numbers are correct within the margin of error. this number should be at least 95% |

That website was pretty entertaining. Even in such an obvious pro american propaganda site (as evidenced by the headlines to the right) there is still overwhelming NO vote against the war.
In fact the ONLY poll i have seen recently that shows that americans support the war is the much talked about Gallup one. Interesting, i wonder why that is. |

Yes when I posted that 50 some page description of gallup's statistical methods I convenientely left out the part where they only poll you if you earn more than six figures a year ;) |
