No, I think that was already attempted for this year. Would have failed due to the crappy internal politics that is screwing over the Scottish dance scene. SECC it seems does not want to associate itself with "druggies" that dance music so obvioussly attracts. i dont beleive this... GC promoter gone and theres 7 pages of arguments about PvD..? jeez...
i never hide the fact that i think ben thompson is a grade A nobber, but he was very good at his job. yes lately the line-ups hes been putting on have been falling short of amazing, but in the past he has done some really good , and im sure the impact of his not being there will be felt by many.
as for GC closing... its one thing closing it because its not making enough money to stay afloat, but its another thing closing it because they cant be arsed to get a good promoter. i dont think it will close, simply because GC pulls in the money now every month, easily enough to make a large profit. its sold out nearly every time ffs.
if it does close i will gladly eat my hat. |

| Just to add the point that everyone was convinced Scott Bond was about to retire after NYE. It was such a definite the members of this board said. I will join tu_face in eating a hat if GC closes! |

| theres no doubt in my mind though, crasher can't remain the same without Ben. If rainey's gonan keep the club open for the time being, fair enough, but i sitll think we'll see some comepletely gay turns of events, ie the banning of cyber. |
