Freakin' 99 was held out doors at the Docks, in many many huge tents.
19,000 ppl showed up ... the bass from jungle room was too loud, it was so extreme that all the condos on lake shore felt the bass. The sound system in the jungle room was turned down multi. times. Freakin' 99 was force to shut down at 5am. From that day, one of the protocals that rave promoters had to follow was to hold events that were no where close residental areas and it must be indoors. That's why Area 1 had a shutdown time at midnight. |

Oh....well . I'd really love to experience an outdoor rave like they have in England and Holland. Something like Creamfields and DanceValley or something.....oh well. I'll be there of course...sweating my balls off inside a hot club in the heat of summer! |

yeah, I went to that last year. It was ok but hardly the A class talent like Creamfields or DanceValley.
What I meant was an outdoor event with the likes of PVD, Tiesto, AVB, Matt Darey, etc one after the other for 10 hours all outdoor. But what am I saying....Canada will never get anything like that. |

could you imagine if there was an outdoor event about an hour North of TO, in a big open field listening to PVD, Tiesto, AVB, etc. all night long????
OMG it's making me drool...unfortunately I have to agree with Dj Smitty that Canada will never see an event like, even though I think there would be huge support.
Maybe place the venue between TO and Montreal, so you get crowds from both cities!!! |

I think that kind of line-up is entirely possible. Just look what kind of line-up Aria(MTL) has on June 13th - Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren and Guy Ornadel. This isn't much worse than the line-up you are talking about. |

a) cheaper
b) closer to T.O
c) normal party hrs
It would of been such a blast and LifeForce would still be around. |

Bal en Blanc lineup is looking pretty good too this year. 514 used to have some parties pretty damn close. Cream was a good one. Toronto had a few too. But parties like creamfields gatecrasher and homelands have SO many djs. Something for everyone |
