All I can say is in' amazing night! The Guv bouncers were wearing surgical masks, which kind of freaked me out, but the KH was comfortably packed and didn't have any of this stupid ph33r vibe.
Skibadee was a no-show... apparently in the hospital. :( Biggie did well covering though (I love those UK thug accents!). Shy Fx blew me away, I think his set was the highlight of the whole weekend (sorry tek addicts!). Pretty sure I heard some Roni Size & Aphrodite tracks in there, though I suck at ID'ing. SS & Twisted... wow, I swear, I think part of that set was cruising at 300+ bpm, I had to drink 5 bottles of water in those few hours and I was sober. I'd never heard Bailey live before but suffice it to say he is 10 times better live. All in all, wicked party. I had to leave a little early because I was just totally exhausted!
Oh, and as for the girls...

I saw more beautiful women in that one room on that one night than I've seen in the entire rest of my life. Hopefully I'm not offending any female TA's by saying it but WOW. :p
Did not spot the few TA's that were supposedly there... I would have figured it'd be easy in the thug crowd (my only gripe, those people were definitely not as friendly as the people at trance parties), but the place is just too big to find one or two isolated TA's.
DEsidEL, you shouldn't have missed it! We will definitely have to organize a TA DnB massive sometime during the summer.

The bad:
Only one washroom for the first couple of hours.
No Skibba
No lasers
No Goldclub decor.
Got asked five times before 1am if I wanted to buy.
Paying $10 for the wristband to access the Guv, and not being let back in, or informed of any in-out flow through the Complex, then getting shovelled out the front door at 6am.
Too much strobe light.
The good:
Bailey
The great level of energy from the crowd.
I also realized that I can't stand Jungle for the entire night. |

Oh yeah, forgot about that... the lineup for the washroom was longer than the lineup for the entrance. :haha:

Haha... no offense but people complain about this way too much... it's a rave, it's what you should expect. They don't persist after you say no though. Honestly, the dealers don't even bother me anymore, what do I care?
Anyhoo... 'nuff said by me on the subject. Dr. Z, you need an ID man, it really was one hell of a party. |

serious.. i've seen some of the GROOVIEST lookin peeps at some jungle events. total loved the crowd and styles when i saw Aquasky at Surface a while back ..
19+ dnb events.. gotta lov'em .. :D

OK, I'm not hating on this party, but a few things made the night a little dissapointing.
The Ugly:
A) Skibadee a NO SHOW. As soon as MC Biggie annouced it, you can see how dissapointed the crowd instanly became. I would say 80% of the crowd was there to see Skibadee.
B) Sound system was not EQ'd properly, the treble was set way too high. Normally the bass would be blasting so loud and clear that you can feel it in your chest. My ears were ringin' all night.
* I know how hard it is, to setup a propper sound system in the Kool Haus and eqing it to certain music*
C)Due to disaapointments I can say, the crowd was not as hyped as a normal jungle party. No matter where you are, the crowd is ing rowdy. Chill out section, back walls and even in the line up for the washrooms. Only in the middle section ppl were going nuts. The sides and seating area, ppl were pretty quite. The Vibe was ok, but not that great.
D)L Natural & Caddy Cad, they really have to stop the ZOOM ZOOM !!! Does not work nor hype up the crowd !!!
Now for the Good:
L Double = Great
Shy FX = Great
DJ SS & Twisted Individual = Amazing !!!
The rest = My ears were bleeding at this point
It was amazing to see how the 19+ Jungle/DnB community pull together to make the event HUGE ! I haven't seen a 19+ Jungle party that big EVER !!! Even though I was too tired and afew things that were disspointing, I still had FUN and got drunk !!!
The after party was held at Mad Bar lastnight and every headliner was there for $5.00. Of course I didn;t go, b/c it was too rammed. |

Dude if only you'd gone to this... I guess some TA's weren't crazy about it but the junglists went insane over it.
Question: Did Shy Fx drop Roni Size - Scrambled Eggs, or was I just drinking too much? |
