Well it's your right to believe whatever you read in that rag, but Health Canada's website has very extensive information on SARS and has not indicated this type of thing at all. |

Its funny how paranoid ppl can get. Can u imagine anyone experiencing SARS syndrome in the club? If I have dry cough, soar throat, fever - I would not wanna go anywhere, just stay in bed.

what if you don't know you got SARS? You only find out about it after 10 days...
Damn, this really makes me think about going to PVD, but on the other hand since a lot of people won't be attending, then VIVA should not be as packed as it normally is, unless they decide to lower the prices which I don't think is gonna happen. I'll just wait and see, worse come to worse I forget about my ticket  |

10 days max... it's usually 4-6 days. And during those days person DOES NOT have SARS. It's developing in that person, but the person is not sick yet. Only after the person gets sick u can get it from him/her. |

Nice cross-post, doofus. Not only was it completely unnecessary to copy and paste this question in 2 (possibly more that I haven't noticed yet) threads, but it has also already been speculated upon. |

and.....he's still coming right????
If I drive all the ing way down there to Markham, which has a few too many SARS cases for my liking already, go to the club, wait until past 2am for him to come and he doesn't show up, I'm going to be really ing pissed!
He'll be up on the decks anyway and it would be funny to see him wear a mask...I might be wearing one (and latex gloves as well). Yeah I'll look stupid but it...better than missing exams due to a disease or even dying. |

SARS is most contagious in the first 24 hours of becoming sick, when the person doesn't even know he's sick yet!
The problem with clubs is that it's enough for JUST ONE person there to be sick and almost the whole club will get sick by the end of the night. |
You know what? If this is True that means we would ALL have to isolate ourselves in our homes until this passes. We should then not go to school because someone at school or close to school will give it to us. Also, no eating out, or even going to the grocery store since there is OTHER ppl there they might touch the food u buy and it might have SARS on it. What else. Oh yeah, no going to the movies unless our are wearng a chemical suit either. U should not even go outside because u might catch SARS.
Has it ever occured to you that if we can catch SARS SO easily that by now, going out in public we might all just be sick already?
EDIT: Oh I forgot the Biggie. Don;t use money. Poeple sneeze into their hands and then touch money and the it gets passed around so many times that by the end of the day another 50 are infected.
ther is CROWDS on the street, in the buses, in Traisn etc. Just like in Clubs. If you are afraid to go Clubbing then you should also not go outside or take transit. How many SUSPECTED infected cases is it now in TO? 155? How big is the GTA??? 22 Million ppl or soemthing like that. 155 ppl will take up perhaps ONE floor of a huge apartment complext compared to the rest of the city. All the ppl that died were older (as far as I know) and were ones in Contact with the ORIGINAL ppl who died and contracted it in the hospital.
I am just tired of this whole crap. not going to clubs? Might as well not go outside either and eat food that u buy from stores, fast food or restaurants cause the employees might have it or someone sneezed or caughed close to the food. I think this whole SARS is really starting to get out of hand. Think about the Logic and don't always believe what people tell you. There is a lot of peopel who don't know from . I am not telling yout o beleive what I said. Iam just trying to use a bit of common sense here.

Well, its getting more disturbing now. A huge research conference on cancer was cancelled last night becauses of SARS. I mean intelligent people don't even want to come to Toronto. I was going to attend the conference because there was some research that pertains to my own and they cancelled it last night. This is quite important because this meeting is huge (14 tousand people) and it takes a really long time to prepare it. They wouldn't have cancelled it on small grounds. Some people life work would have been presented and now they lose the oppertunity to do so.
This is getting quite serious. |
