I did my first in... 1996 I think.
Might've been '97 too... didn't take it seriously until I got Reason in 2001 (?), though.
rb2k1
i made my 1st ty song with my sony playstation (mtv Music Generator) . I dont even know what happened to it.. but that was about 6 years ago (i was 13). Come a long way since then. But everyone starts somewhere right?

my 1st one was around 2001.. did it with fruityloops, which i`m still using:D
hey cheggy
Produced my first decenent track about 7 months ago. Wrote it off as crap untill I listened to it again recently. It's now one of my favourites. Using a combination of software and hardware. Took about a year of djn before I got into production and about another year for me to get semi-decent at it.

i started making music in mid '95 when i got my first pc. finished my first real selfmade track end '95 (24 december 1995 <- i'll never forget that date).
within those months i tested several trackers, and finally started with screamtracker. from then i took me about 3 weeks to finish my first track.

but as usual, your first track sounds like ! :) but hell, that's how it used to be...
i uploaded this very first 'masterpiece'. so if you like to take a listen: http://www.angelfire.com/music5/und...d_dimension.s3m

I started making music on trackers about 12 years ago. I moved over to Cubase about 4 years ago.

I don't write that much, but everything I do sounds better produced than the last, and it's only the last song I finished that started sounding reasonably well produced.
robstar

I started of just like Rb2k1 with my playstation 3 years ago.
My first song I made with it was called 'Tranceform'
U can download it here if u'd like to listen to it:

I have all my other songs made with Music2000 on tape, it's fun to listen to em once in a while. :)

I played around with Music2000 for about one year until I had enough money to buy my self a computer. So I bought one and grabbed a copy Fruityloops and started to make more music.

started farting on with my m8 on music creation on ps ages ago, 97?, got music 2000 in 99 and farted on with that, made some semi-decent tunes, got fruity in early 2002 i think, never looked back! although i do make some softer tunes in reason now aswell.

nic01445
started late 2001. i just got into trance like a month before hand, so i really didnt know too much about what i was doing. had fruity demo, despised it. it think 1. i didnt have a manual, and 2. i didnt wanna spend time figuring out wut everything was. first few tracks=crap. use reason now, and i love it.
