quality pics. would have liked to made this one. was tiesto ne good?
Diehard_clubber
Yeah he was. Can't remember exactly what he played cos i decided to have a few beers.

But, he played a lot of tunes i didn't recognise and they were awsome and the atmosphere was quality, even right at the end. Tho, only complaint was that instead of a glorius finish, he took it a bit wierd.

Ive just got up so ill write a mini review now. Got there about 10ish, not very busy so we went to sit upstairs for 1/2 an hour or so. Petrae Foy was spinning progressive/tribal style stuff until Tiesto came on at about 11:15, I thought Tiesto played a pretty good set stuff like:
Solid Globe - North Pole,
James Holden - Nothing (93 Returning Mix),
Saltwater - The Legacy (Alphazone Mix),
Madonna - Die Another Day (Tiesto Remix),
Paul Oakenfold - Southern Sun (Tiesto Remix),
Darren Tate - Let The Light Shine In,
AR52 - Hibernation
Rank 1 - Breathing,
Gabriel & Dresden - Beautiful Things,
Motorcycle - As The Rush Comes,
Conjure One - Tears From The Moon (Tiesto Remix),
Jan Johnston - Venus (Tiesto Remix),
Nalin & Kane - Open Your Eyes,
POS - Remember (Summer Sun),
Young Parisians - U Write The Rules (Soalr Stone Remix),
The Roc Project - Never (Filterheadz Remix),
might have played Solar Factor - Urban Shakedown (G & M)

I had an OK night by no means the best ever, & nowhere near as good as GC last weekend. This is for a number of reasons:
1. GK was about 75% full of pissed up pikeys(no offence Diehard, im sure your not a pikey!) stumbling around into the crowd etc. but they annoy me with a real passion. I suspect that it was full of pikeys because Tiesto is more mainstream than other DJ's
2. I didnt think Tiesto read the crowd particularly well (my girlfriend said this before i thought about it & shes never touched decks in her life), seemed as though he just banged on whatever was next in the box.
3. After having a top night at GC, Gods just has nowhere near the atmosphere of Crasher, i dont know how to put it but at Gods the crowds dont seem as up for it, maybe because its a less dedicated following at GK.
4.Tiesto didnt really get the crowd going, they were never jumping giving it beans in the breakdowns like youd expect them to, e.g. At the breakdown of Solid Globe - North Pole I lose it when I hear it, but the crowd never really achieved more than "jostlingness"
5. I slept through my station on the way back & had to pay £1.60!!! to get back, curse my need to sleep.

However plus points were Tiesto signed my CD, hes a really nice guy, I heard some top tunes, & me & Claire got our picture taken for some magazine, & i found a shop that sells Worcester sauce flavour French Fries crisps. I probably will go to the next Tiesto Solo thoug 'cos the tunes were pretty good. Oh & Tiesto didnt trainwreck once, his mixing was pretty good all night!

I know what you mean normally, but i prefered that night to Tiesto 3 hours at Crasher even tho Frank Trax was awsome that night.

I spoke to a fair few crasher regs that were there and they said Friday pissed over crasher :conf:

The crowd was really friendly tho, really down to earth and really up for it. I don't recall seeing many scallies in there at all, just seems drinking is getting more popular in clubs nowadays anyway, and as long as people have the right attitude and don't piss people off then thats not a problem.

Nice reveiw m8!

One word "GATECRASHER"
Chris 00 Ave It
I personally thought it was better than the last GC... and I'm normally the biggest of fans of crasher, it didnt seem as good as normal!

Tiesto however was amazing, as usual the structure did leave a little to be desired, but there was loads of new material! :D

Loved it when he played Motorcycle and Beautiful Things.... does anyone knoe what mix of Carrera 2 he spun? Sounded a bit like the Montana one to me? :conf:

Thought the mixing leaved a little to be desire personally, he didnt seem that bothered with it - just moved the crossfader over quickly!

Was an excellent night though! Roll on the next one!
