Ok dudes,
I've got about 5 months holidays comin up. and i wanna go somewhere fun, and get away from my typical pile of e life for a few months.
I'm thinking australia, US (bit vague? Boston / SF / Florida), i'd be more than game to go anywhere. As long as there's a good bit of work available for travelin folk like myself :)

I suggest New Zealand. Seriously, dont go to australia..especially perth, i lived there for a while and its boring as hell!
And if u have money go to any top 5 islands in the world, mauritius, bora bora, koh samui(i've been there, its really good).. |

trewqy - hmm.. decided to go lookin for that island 'the beach' was filmed at :) ..believe it was seychelles?? or am i thinking of 'cast away'?
either way - there was a bit of controvercy over the beach, in the film, they wanna keep it a secret - an unspoiled paradise!
reality - the residents didn't want to make the film there as it would do just as they didn't want in the film :)

no dude, i think i'd be pretty happy to spent a few months somewhere warm, with absolutly nobody to bother me in any way.
i'd love to of to somewhere like that for a bit.

The island on "the beach" is indeed koh samui
Except for in the movie, theres an "inner beach" where a scale of cliffs covered the beach.This was done by CGI of course.
In fact the real beach is not totally covered, theres a pretty large gap, say mouthway, which heads to the main ocean.
Still its a very very beautiful island.Probably the best in south east asia. |
