That's pretty arrogant man. Golf requires an unprecedented amount of hand and eye coordination, strength and mental toughness. You use a club in a swinging motion to strike a ball in an outdoor environment. Just because it's a slower paced and individual game doesn't mean it's not a sport. For 's sake...it's the oldest organised sport out there.
I find that people who say golf isn't a sport are useless as at it. Now car racing.....that IS NOT a sport!
As for Weir....unlucky to shoot a 75 today but he's only two back of Maggert, who I can say with assurance WILL NOT win this tournament. Woods is only 4 back of the lead and that's scary. What Weir really needed to do today was shoot 3 or 4 under and he would have had a 5 shot lead. But everybody has a bad day and it could have been worse. He's still in there and I hope he can pull it off. It would be such a great moment to see ignorant and cocky Woods putting the Green Jacket on a Canadian. I cannot stand Woods these days.....I know he's the best but he just has no class on the golf course. If Weir can't win, I hope Phil can do it, though that's doubtful. |
