Hehe, which reminds me of my non-trancer friends asking me, "What the are you blasting?" :tongue2

Well, there are clubs that play Trance on a regular basis. I think the issue with it is if you don't know somebody in the know, you're SOL.

Systems seems to do a fair job of flyering (is that a word?) downtown, I've seen abunch of flyers outside of Robarts and around the core. The other clubs, not so much...

I like that it isn't over promoted. The scene is pretty good here. Everyone heads to their regular spots on the weekend, and when there's a special event (of which there are quite a few, especially during the summer) everyone comes out for a good night of debauchery. What more could you want? A strong, not-so-underground scene!

Cheers,

I'm actually glad I don't see as many flyers for trance events because I don't want trance to become mainstream and I don't want clubs to be overpacked and impossible to get into like some of the gino clubs.

Yep, that's a valid point. But I still wouldn't mind seeing a bit more promoting in my area. There's practically none of it. I do mean a bit though, not plastering it on every street corner in town.

Wow, that makes perfect sense. Didn't think of it that way. I sent you a PM regarding this...

But I'd also like to ask others: other than System (which has been mentioned already), what would then be some decent enough clubs that play trance on a somewhat regular basis?

I agree, I've converted a fair amount of people to trance just by exposing them to it. Start burning cds and hand them out!

or else we need something like having a producer make it big from Toronto and that way they'llbe featured in the mainstream bs thatwe hear everytime we tune in 103.5 (not that i ever bother) but u get my point... we need a turning point!

I'll make it big as a producer, don't worry about that ;)

It was funny I was in the gym today and they had z103 on. They played a pvd track (i forget which one, but it wasnt we are alive) and the hammer said it was on pump it or dump it the previous night, and won by 99.9999%

this is an obvious sign that people like the music, they just arnt exposed to it like other music genres.

^^^ Funny you should mention that. This morning they played PvD's new track, can't remember the name...

I agree with the people that say Trance is better not being mainstream. I means that's what makes the music that more enjoyable is that it's an escape from the realities of the everyday..Work, school, the media, radio, TV, etc, etc.

On a side note, anybody up for house party at JOE on Saturdays!!!!!:stongue: :stongue: :stongue: :stongue:
