alright, relating to the picture thread that was being killed by lynx's, phazes and my ranting, post stuff about your favorite books authores and all that good stuff.. personaly, i like fantasy books:)
(i.e jrr tolkien, robert jordan, margeret weise, tracy hickman, george r martin, etc etc)

| yah, fantasy novels own me...i never go a day without reading a little...right now i'm on Terry Brooks as i said before...my favs are Terry Brooks, Robert Jordan, Terry Goodkind, Tad Williams, George R.R. Martin...etc etc...theres too many good quality books/authors to list |

I used to read fantasy novels when i was young (like 12), and i don't remember much of them. I read Tolkiens LOTR trilogy and the hobbit, and also some i robert jordans series.
Now a days i don't get that much time to read, but when i do, i love to read stuff from thomas harris (the red dragon, silence of the lambs and hannibal, they're SO much better than the movies:)), dean koontz and stephen king. I guess i love crime and supenatural stories:D Anyone else that like these genres?

ALLLL THEEE WAAYAYYYYAYAYAYAYAYAAYYYYY IS THE BEEESSTTTT EEVVVVEEERRR.... hehe, sorry bout the caps, but im sorry to break it to you guys, but Robert Jordans and George R martins, and Tom Clancy's works are childs play compared to works like the silmarilion and the lord of the rings trilogy and the unfinished tales and of course the hobbit! .. ahhhhhhhhh! i cant wait for the movie to come out!! :D |

The movie Part I is coming out near end of DECEMBER!! Lord of the Rings looks real good, but some actor casting I find questionable.
JRR Tolkien IS not the best, his genre is one of the best classics, epic fantasy.
And you cant compare Tom Clancy to JRR Tolkien, they're not in the same ballpark, not in the same sport, not EVEN friggin in the same league. |

umm, you must be on crack man.. jordan is good, but in time , youll begin to see that he is really nothign compared to the master of fantasy, tolkien. tolkien started it all, and i doubt therell ever be anybody like him again.. he made up over 7 differen languages, think of that, i dont see robert jordan making up 'trolloc' or 'forsaken' languages .. no comparison..and ive read that set like a million times.. like a year ago i stoped reading them and whent on to other books.
even though this book is out of hte fantasy category, Catcher in the Rye hsa to be one of my favorite books..that book is like.. so ing awesome.
