only sometimes though.

in my experience, rarely.

When we realize that happiness or what we evidently wanted in this ‘object’ isn’t really there…we notice it’s more that we desire ‘desire’ itself.
No materialistic object can bring happiness.

But on the other hand...
give me a million dollars and watch me go happy! :)

reminds me of a Nine Inch Nails song:

Something I can never have

that song got me through many a tough time. sometimes, you have to take a look at what you already have, and realize not only is it good enough, it's BETTER than the other side of the fence.

ing Ace man. I love their type of tunage. Fragile is such an awesome album. For me I've never known what the "Catch" is like. Just hasn't happened. Always was the chase with the person not interested. So every time that has happened I just eventually realized it wasn't worth all the effort and said it. (mainly because they had already found someone else or was just a messed up situation).
As for love being materialistic, ummmmmmm well I highly doubt it's materialistic. It's just me wanting to feel a certain way. How is that wrong? It's not selfish because that way of feeling extends to that person who you are sharing it with right? (the love part)

i think that comes with identifying your own personal desires and needs... if materialism is your thing, then for you happiness will prolly come with it...

heh, i just had an in-depth conversation about this with someone on this board...
