thnx for all advices and comments...
im celebrating my 18th bday on friday (i turned 18 2day, yay)
and sheŽll be there, so ill just get her up by the decks, and let
her try dome mixing, and i make my move and (hopefully)
get somebody to take over 4 me, if its a go from her side...
theres just on two occasions i have girltalking-ability, and
thats when i spin and when im drunk, so its gonna be a
mix of those two, so that`ll prolly work... i hope:rolleyes:

Oh my god I've gotta try this! Imagine the look on her face when she first tries to beatmatch, fails, and then you show her how to do it - in just a few seconds of course! Man, you're gonna look like a pro in her eyes...for about a month after which she will wipe the floor with your ass and get a residency at your favorite club...

Life's a bitch, I hope she ain't.

BTW I wonder if there are any male djs around here who've been taught by a woman...

anyway, you can't really "teach" someone to dj, they really have to get their own dex, and their own vinyl. unless they live with you, in which case they will then be wearing out your needle and probably mess something up, as we all do when we first learn.

tell this girl that if she's really serious about spinning, she will go out and get her own set of dex. then offer to help her out when she does get her own equipment and practices everyday.
besides i don't know why you would want to try to teach someone to spin, it would be incredibly boring listening to someone trainwreck the same damn songs over and over. go to a movie or something.

wat is this? a dj is a dj, male or female. even an alien can be a dj, lol. just beacuse someone isnt a male doesnt mean they cant spin. i would love to see some girls get into djing, that way the guys wont become gay dj's. for guys who think girls cant dj, they should go to hell! if i had a patner, it would be a female, not bcuz im a male, but bcuz there arent alot of female dj's out there.

Hey now... There are some very talented female DJs. and just as many posers as thier are male DJs. Women actually tend to be more musically inclined than men in my experience. not just as far as spinning rekkids.. but generally when it comes to musical knack...

I've seen some great female DJs... women that can rock the decks, look good doing it, and move the crowd quite nicely. you should check it sometime :P

Actually, it amazes me that there are so many sucessful male djs out there! I think that one huge thing that helps me dj is my ability to clean up on the dance floor. Not to brag, but most guys can't dance half as well as I can, but a good portion of women can dance fairly well, so it goes hand in hand that they would be able to transfer their knowledge to djing of what makes a good track and which good tracks are good dance tracks and which are not.

exactly, glad someone agrees w/ me! :)
both girls and guys have the same hands , and the same pair of ears. gender has nothing to do w/ how well someone can dj, the only thing that matters is how much they practice, natural talant, and how into it they are.

i think that guy djs outnumber girls by far is that girls aren't as interested in the mechanical, technical side of things, in this case, the music we hear at clubs. i know this b/c i am a girl, duh, and i know how most of us girls are.
me, i just happened to alsways be very interested in the club and trance scene, and developed an interest in that more technical side of things.

lol...
because theres no female dj's theyll be gay male djs. Hahahaha this is funny, lets hope more come in that case! and since the scene wont be like all males which would kinda makes it too segregated from all other forms of music performance.

well actually I'd say girls generally have smaller hands than guys, therefore they can't dj. LoL! I'm a joker today! Well actually i shoudn't talk cause i don't have that big hands...
Seriously now there are some well known female Djs that should be mentioned (lady Dana, Astrid and others) and gender's got nothing to do with djing, i mean a female should be able to anything a male can... right? Agreed? Agreed.
