i think that guy djs outnumber girls by far is that girls aren't as interested in the mechanical, technical side of things, in this case, the music we hear at clubs. i know this b/c i am a girl, duh, and i know how most of us girls are.
me, i just happened to alsways be very interested in the club and trance scene, and developed an interest in that more technical side of things. |

Seriously now there are some well known female Djs that should be mentioned (lady Dana, Astrid and others) and gender's got nothing to do with djing, i mean a female should be able to anything a male can... right? Agreed? Agreed. |

ok seriously...guys grow up, what's all this about girls being bad dj's just because they are girls?!?!
My opinion is that if you're geting into the DJ biz it should be for the music and not for the chicks, you can't really be a good dj if you don't love what your'e doing
I say, if she want's to learn the art, teach her but don't try to push her into learning just because you think it's drop dead sexy with female DJ's, it's just not right
and as someone else mentioned, (if she really want to become a dj) get her to buy her own gear and be a guide, not a teacher
and if she's not shure on if she want's her own equip let her try some at your place but don't try to make her a full fledged DJ on your gear, just won't work :) |

Haha, maybe so in an idealistic universe, but the last time I checked, the world revolves around Sex and Money. Thus, of course it's drop-dead sexy to have a female DJ -- that's the entire point of one, isn't it?
Show me one big-name female DJ that is not propagating the, "Look at me I'm sexy and I spin!" image, and I'll concede. |

Well-known phrase. However, I assume that 15 minutes gets extended when women (i.e., female DJ's, to be consistent with the current topic) come into play. You can stare at breasts/ass for longer than that. And even longer if you're drunk. |
