Nice post Dubblies.
In my opinion, to me, Greenspan is a genious.. I could be wrong but the guy knows what he says and does, not mattering what his owns party wants, the guy knows whats up.. |

I would agree with you that Greenspan is unbelievably intelligent and understands what is going on. However, he did call irrational exuberance for what it was in 1996, yet it went unchecked and came crashing down in 2000. I think the problem lies more in human nature. Nobody wants to question things as long as everything is rosy and the outlook is good, letting growth go unchecked and out of control. The foundation was laid for a burst and sure enough, nature won. It would've been political suicide to try to slow down a roaring economy. People would've laughed at him! Hindsight's 20/20 (I hate to use cliches).

I have a lot of respect for Greenspan. He's done an excellent job managing the Fed. |

Sorry to single you out like this Liquid X but you have yet to put together a rebuttal to any of the data I provided to you.
Since you took it upon yourself to attack me (which by the way your summation of me was completely off base) I thought turn around might be fair play.

I only reposted cause on page 2 and page 4 where I gave a rebuttal you failed to debated back on any of those post.
I've read through the entire post twice, and you have yet to explain this statement

You attacked my info as being inaccurate yet you don't explain what I'm not right on?
I'm not trying to be an or start a flame war with you, however if you enter into a debate with someone, especially when you single them out as you did in my case, don't just use your opinion of something, back it up with facts. I think I've provide clear arguments for my points and all you've given me is your political views. |

To responde to your question. Its information I have read and that I been teached from not one teacher but all my government/economic teachers and such ( well only 2 of them ).. one of them was not affiliated to any MAJOR party, the other was a Republican, and he never said what you have said. I dont have any proof on paper or a website that I know of.. I was just going for what I was taught, what I have read and such, I just responded like that because you are the second person besides a very republican fanatic that have said that ( dont want to offend you, dont take it personally ).. Im not saying you are, just that I found it inaccurate, I could be wrong, since IM not an expert on this. Sorry to point you out, but thats what debate is for.. learn and discuss right?.. |
