I've never seen a gun.
I've only ever seen english police armed units in airports.
I've never heard of anyone remotely near me getting shot.
Even in big cities, there are very little guns. The only sort of guns about are farmer's shotguns, or old unsuable antique guns.
More likely ill get stabbed for £7.50 and my chips one night when im walking home. |

I'll prolly never own a gun in my whole life. A gun is the easy way out to take care of business, or any weapon for that matter, not that I'm condining violence, but , guns are for pussies. And the 90% of people who have guns are too scared to use them on somebody. With that in my mind though, I still would prolly soil the underwear if someone came up to me with a gun. Glad your alive and well, sorry it happened, i feel for you.

when i went to guatemala, regular policemen had ak-47s
some of the airport security guards even had m4a1 assault rifles

that's some scary man.i remember when i was like 9, me and my cousin were hunting birds with our sling shots. he was new to the neighborhood and he didnt know that there was an army base near us. he was shooting the bird where the army's post is. 3 dude came out with ak's and aimed the gun to us. he was like sorry and his he started crying, then i was like, he's new here. the sad thing too is those 3 armies are my friedns. lol. :) i always talk to thme. maybe they were just doing their job. haha. but they apologized like a week later. though :)

I know how you feel mate.
a couple of weeks ago somebody stopped me while I was drooling in front of a shopping window( there were some turntables, mixers e.t.c. on display:P)and took out a knife. By the time I saw the knife thing flashing in the daylight I was like "oh,good bye cruel world, some ****** is having a bad day". I did get out of this nice and clean without giving the guy any money or anything, but I was quite in a shock afterwards. |

| Holy man. Sounds like he had the napkin to not leave any fingerprints around... That's some scary . A buddy of mine and 2 of his friends got in a fight with 2 other guys outside of a bar. It turns out that one of the other guys had just gotten kicked out for having a gun. During the brawl he kept trying to reach into his pants. Makes you think. If he had managed to pull a gun out, then for sure everyone would've taken off. Would he have used it? I don't like considering the possibilities. |

| I work for the ambulance company that covers 911 for the downtown area and unfortunatly I get put in hairy situations like this, especially when we respond to shootings and stabbings. This person was obviously shot or stabbed for a reason and I'm there to help them, so they come out of the shadows and go for me now. I have only had that happen once, no shoots fired cause I ran like hell to my ambulance and halled ass out of there, but we get put in this types of situations all to ofter, so I feel ya man. |

Are they taking the easy way out of their problems? Sure. But pulling the trigger isn't either, hell owning one isn't easy. Just because someone would rather end your life with a machine than his fists / a knife doesnt make them a . |
