I know what you mean man I had a simmilar problem not as bad as that though. I was walking home and some guy jumped on my back and knocked me down. I jumped right back up hit him once then I saw that he was less than half my size, then he ran off.
What the hell was this guy thinking he was like 5'9 and like maybee 120 pounds, Im 6'3 and 190. |

Dammm.. thats ing heaps scary... i know i would have been, but heaps of ppl wouldn't shoot you if you weren't the perk.. so as long as you didn't get lippy.. then you are ok... you did the right thing!
I came from a country, where anarchy, violence and chaos are a part of society, no respect for human life, and people would kill easily for $5.. its a shame cause people there are so nice, but there are many that are not...
I went to a bank there and i was shocked to see the security with shotguns, not only that, they were loaded, cocked, and they had a finger in the trigger, all the damm time...
When i went in.. i thought i was taking an overseas plane trip, i had to empty my pockets, then i was frisked, then i was made to walk thru a metal detector... all this to make a deposit... hmmm... Life is scary for many people in the world, we are very priviledged and we take so many things for granted...
i could go on all day.. but i wish not to... |

i was at a movie theatre and me and my friends just got out. it was the only 3 of us in the parking lot and these 5 black guys pulled out a shotgun and said that if we have ever seen a gun in our lives.
they were joking around for a minute but the whole ordeal lasted about 3 minutes. seemed to never end. my friend recognized the 3 guys that poked their faces out the car. my friend knows a guy in the KKK so he told them about it. the next thing i knew, i heard that a bunch of white guys jumped the 3 blacks in the car and beat them to a pulp. i felt good and that what they deserve.

The point is that, this does only happen in the USA.
Ok, so it obviously is gonna be happen in dodgy south american/african/asian countries - but out of all the developed world America is the only place to have such a gun problem.
And to say its because they got guns is silly, Canada has comparable gun ownership - but nobody seems to get shot there.
Some Americans replied to this thread, saying that it could happen anywhere. If they realy believe its like that anywhere else in the developed world then they are severly mistaken. |

Perhaps you should get your facts correct, even places like Japan which is extremely advanced and developed (oh yes far ahead of England) they have people with guns commiting murders. Yes it's true Americans do commit more violent acts of crimes with guns than other nations, but that does not mean that those living in other countries are immune from this.
btw Britain's population clocks in around 49,997,100, whereas in the USA we have approximately 291,112,865. With 5x the population of Britain, I would think that we would have more instances of crime happening.
