i dont know where to start! my ears still have a constant hum, after 8 hours of being out!
okay, so I got a parking spot 10 seconds away from the club, and it was raining outside so we went an hour 1/2 early and got first in line under the overhang. besides guest list, we were the first people in!!! i went outside at about 2am and there was still a HUGE lineup, so that was sick. okay, so we are a little wet from the rain, but its really nice inside so we warm up. Yaz is spinning, and there are only 3 girls dancing lol. The club starts to fills up, id say about 1200 ppl and Tiesto appears in the DJ booth. Everyone goes CRAZY. I am directly in the middle right infront of him. all night i stayed there w/ a couple breaks, and gestured to em all the time. haha Tiesto had the worst transition ever, the two songs werent beatmatched and i dont think THAT many ppl could understand, but i just gave him a big smile and mouthed 'it's alright!'. like, he's only human too!
so then the sound went out completely.. technical difficulties. tiesto god really mad, cus it ruins the flow of the night. after 5 mins it was back up and running.
tiesto played for about 4 hours.. and it was reeeeeeally good. I know that it could have been better cus I know he didn't give us all that he could, but he's been on tour for so many days now so im giving him some slack
okay, so then one of the highlights of my night occured. Armin van Buuren was in the dj booth, and tiesto went over to him and they hugged and talked w/ each other as if they were best friends. Two of the best DJ's alive together, and we get to experience it! it was just the best thing to see.
well, then Armin started mixing and for the next 3 1/2 hours it was off the wall. In my opinion Armin was the best DJ of the night. He played amazing track after track and the crowd was so into it. when he spun yet another day, I pointed both fingers at him and yelled 'IT'S ALL YOU BUDDY!!' and he bowed to me. i was right infront of him the whole time trying to take everything in. i asked him to play envio - touched by the sun, but he didnt have it (expected considering its not even released yet). when he finished at 8:30am, we tried so hard to have him continue spinning but guy ornadel was already starting
i only stayed for an hour of guy just cus i was so tired. i was pretty much dancing for 9 hours with a 20 minute break.
but honestly, the club was SICK. everyone in there was so into it and was loving everyone. the only thing was that it was the HOTTEST club ive ever been in. after 20 minutes, my shirt was soaked through with sweat. after 3 hours of tiesto i was extremely dehydrated and needed 3 bottles of water to get me back going.

i wish that you all could have experienced this, as it was one of the most memorable nights of my life

tiesto and armin love it so much, it just takes me away how much they get into it. i am so glad i stayed right infront and interacted with both of em. what great guys.

Hmm......I heard on the tiesto site that Tiesto did a 40 minute encore when Armin reached the Dj booth through the crowd and made him wait all that time. And apparently Tiesto was out of there right after. I also heard that in the pre night TA meetup with Armin, the talk got to Tiesto and Armin was pretty quiet about him and his smile died quite noticably when Tiesto was mentioned.

Oh, and Alibi - Eternity was done in late 1999 and released in early 2000...first heard in PvD sets and on Magik 5 Heaven Beyond. It's an old tune.

I think many forget that Tiesto got Armin's career started by using a lot of his remixes and productions in the Magiks and in livesets. Blackhole Recordings also signed Armin awhile back too.

armin waited, yes, but i wouldnt say 40 minutes. right when i saw him i pointed to armin and got his attention, and he started spinning about 20 minutes after that. but you know why tiesto kept on? it was cus of the Jet to Ibiza contest. Tiesto had to finish when they announced the winner of the contest, and it was a clock counting down on the big screens. there was still 15 minutes left on the countdown when it looked like armin was ready. and i was right up there in front, tiesto went over and talked with armin for a bit. they may easily not like each other, but i think thats probably more shown in their minds than anywhere on the stage.

and yea obviously eternity is old, i was just joking about that comment heh. notice the exclamation point and smiley ;)

Siefer (he posts here all the time) told me this on the tiesto website. Can't YOU tell when someone is visibly annoyed/depressed when a conversation takes a certain turn about something possibly sensitive to them? Well....Sief noticed it right away because I asked him to pay attention a few days back before the Montreal show.

And don't you mean low lifes?:p

Hey man...I like Tiesto/Armin/Ferry so much....I like to hear a bit of gossip from time to time. Don't you?

man i don't care as long as each of them produce great stuff , deliver a good show and interact with the crowd then i'm happy , but i don't care and i don't give a flying if tiesto s camels or armin takes donkey-milk baths

ok fair enough (and funny too) but if Tiesto and Armin don't like each other.....that probably means they won't produce together and that, truly, is a huge loss for trance.:(

is there a similarity in what they play ?

is there a similarity in the tracks they produce or remix ?

when was last time they did something together ?
