Yeh, sick night... It was a bit hot, but i got used to it. Music was generally good. Tiesto's first houre was a bit slow, but the last two and a hafl houres.... man.. insane!

What can I say... amaizing trancy night. :gsmile:

Last thing I'd like to say is, nice meeting new ppl, and nice seeing previously met ppl !:p

Shouts out to RnakR, fastmp3, Zing, Malek, Alec, DjNacht, Spoutnick, sorry if I forgot any of you, I have a very bad memory lol.

And of course, I shall add ARMIN VAN BUUREN to this list !:D Didn't expect to meet him tho !

What an amazing night ! There's no words that come even close to describing it. It was a magical journey into trance on board flight 643 !;)

And yeah, djing is only about signing lil pieces of paper and clapping hands at the crowd! I remember someone didn’t like Sasha just because he didn’t sign a magazine…… [/QUOTE]

No you're quoting me wrong. I gave him a mag, and I didn't care at the end, but he didn't interact at all with the crowd, how can a dj give a good set if he doens't know what the crowd is doing. Its a mix of both.

Ok, my review: Tiesto, was good, imo better than Armin, I enjoyed alot of his set, Armin, played too much Techno, I'm sure Zing told him to play harder! As for Guy, his mixing was great imo. And he played the best set, untl I was forced to leave by my companions. Got back in Ottawa around 2 PM, ughhh!

Bug Thanks to Armin, he's a really awesome guy, willing to take time off to talk with his fans! Thanks to David for helping organizing and Zing.

MOFO's!

I still want my Aria shirt, maybe next week?

Oh and Tiesto I think had the worst mixing, at least guy was using effects in his set, and I thought he was interacting with the crowd sufficiently!

tiesto was great he signed like dozens of lil piece of paper :p

hes great cuz you see in his face he likes what hes dooing!
he mixed well dooing some little previews some were bad but many were so nice!!!

armin was also very nice hes a people dj and there is not many of them!!!!
he spinned well also and he had a great attitude with the crowd

for guy......

man this guy is boring he not even looking at the crowd
and damn he mixed like crap

he entered many many unbeatmatched beats and fix them during the mix
i think this sucks... i cat dance when the mix is not good... i was exspecting hard trance from im i was quite dissapointed maybe the end was better i left at 9 :45

:D

Comon man, that's not true, Guy played a very nice set. The mixing was simple but precise. Armin's mixing style is also very simple. And anyway, there is no need to make life complicated there, as long as there is a musical progression,... anyway.. Tiesto was very often off beat too, and? its "TIESTO" right?

I think it's all about the music and not "crowd comunications". :eyes:

You will see when we will add a new air conditionning machine, the club will be pack but temperature will be cool so people will feel way better and the club will feel more comfortable.

Yes, more air please.

I showed up to Amir, only to find out that AVB just left. :( DOH!

I said hi to some girls at Amir (one of them was a TA?) and told them to keep me a spot in line at Aria. But we didn't need it! wuahahaha! The longest proccess wasn't getting thru security, but going through the front desk --they had to search for the names of peeps who pre-paid for tickets and picked them up at the desk. We waited about 10 minutes in all, but we got in.

When we got in the first thing I noticed was "man it's warm in here". Someone was playing some prog or something (which some of you know, it's just not my style). But Tiesto didn't take long to come on --he was the first dj I've seen at Aria that started on time. That was a nice bonus. :-)

Tiesto played some stuff that I thought was ok, nothing too special. I stood behind the dj booth watching him do his thing. I thought we were going to have another PVD incident on our hands when the sound went out! hahahaha. It looked like he was getting pissed! But suprisingly he was all happy and dancing and after the sound was put back up. Apparently some stupid woman pulled a cord somewhere to cause this?

Then some chicks came up to me and wanted to get to the window at the booth. So I grabbed one by the waist and showed her in. :-) Then gave her a flick of the ass :-) for good mesure. They thanked me, but I lost my spot at the front when the left. No biggy since I'm tall enough to see around most people.

Then some girl looked like she was all phased out or something came over to me and asked me if I was DJ Tiesto? I was thinking to myself I should have said yes, but I put my arm around her and directed her to where Tiesto was --in the DJ booth. ROFLMAO.

I was sweating like a mofo, and I saw alot of TA's sitting down during the Prog/tech-something-or-other- portion of Tiesto's set. So I went over to join them 'cuz my feet were getting tired. By this time my pants were getting wet and my t-shirt was completely soaked. I look over and I see Taha in his long sleeve shirt and he didn't even break a sweat yet? He probably did more moving around than I did, and I was sweating like I had just played 25 minutes in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Anyway, the best part of Tiesto's set was his 45 minute encore. It was so good, in fact, that I thought it was AVB spinning) Alot of good tunes in there, and it kept my fist pumping.

Then AVB came on and I was sweating like a MOFO!!!! I passed in and out of consciousness. Armin would keep dropping the occasional bomb and I'd wake up and pump the fist. I barely caught a glimpse of him, as I was still on the couch. I was scared to get up because a) I didn't want to lose my prime spot on the couch, and b) I honestly thought I was going to die of dehydration.

Then Guy came on. OMG that was good. That was the best part of the night. The crowed started clearing up. The heat was bareable as I found a huge-ass fan beside the dj booth. Guy was dropping bombs! OMG!!! Less heat, less people, and more trance. But I was sooo sleepy (lack of sleep over the past 3 days). I was pumping the fist, and nodding the head. Hell, I did more dancing in the first 45 mins of Guy's set than I did the rest of the night. But I was passing out while I was standing! My head was bobbing to the beat, then I'd pass out, then I'd wake up realizing that I was dreaming about something that I was nodding to (yes sir/ no sir). HAHAHA.

Conclusion:
There was the right number of people there -croweded but bearable. But it was too hot. Actually it was too ING hot. D00d I think I lost 15 pounds in that sauna!
I didn't really enjoy myself that much (at least up until Guy came on) because of the heat. I would have been more active for sure had it been cooler. Guy was by far the best part of the night. I'd go to Aria just for Guy if he would play another set like that.

TUNE OF THE NIGHT: Laura Turner - Soul Deep (Signum Dub) from ASOT 100. Way to go Armin!!!

Really? :happy2: Armin played techno... man, you really have to review what is the difference between trance and techno ;)

all i can say is that i had a blast!!
sure the heat bothered me but what can you do...
tiesto was better than armin this time imo but you have to remember that tiesto played a lot of the tracks that armin would normally play so armin couldn't go on and play the same ones. he had to switch it up a little and i think he was awesome as well.
i only caught about an hour of guy's set, and from what i heard he was pretty good as well.

overall and amazing night, one not to be forgotten!! thank biggy for putting this together!!
