Pioneer HDJ 1000, Stanton DJ Pro 2000 or Sony MDR-V700DJ?!?!?!

| Alright all you headphone Guru's...Lets put some of the best to the test and get some real opinions. I am looking into a set of cans but I have hit a point where preference and comfort become major factors as well. These are some major names that I have heard and would like to narrow down the field.......HOPEFULLY a bit!!!! |

It would also be nice to have some comments about the comfort, durability and any other rare features for the 3 different headphones.

| I have used both the sony's and the Pioneers, and I prefer the Pioneers. I think that they are slightly more comfortable, they are definitely better looking, and they are a little bit more responsive, soundwise. |

P I O N E E R HDJ1000no doubt about it. The best pair of headphones I've ever owned, and many of my die hard Sony only friends finding themselves buying Pioneer headphones or borrowing my pair constantly. email me for a good price on a pair

| I voted Pioneer overall for DJing, keeping in mind that I can buy better-sounding headphones for music listening for less $$$. :haha: |

i didnt vote, because ive only used the pioneers out of those 3, so dont have an informed opinion on the other two. however i do want to share my opinion on the pioneers vs the technics 1200s and the hd25's
first, the sound quality of the pioneers is a little better then the 1200s but not close to the hd25's. they match up well in terms of comforts and looks, and they are quite cheap. however support is lacklustre as they are new, and the replaceable headphone cord is on backorder as a part (ie you have to wait 3-4 weeks to get one).
overall id recommend them, but make sure you get them from a place that has a replaceable warrenty if there is any problems. mine came with a broken cord right from when i bought them!! which caused me no end of problems trying to get them fixed. |

| There ya go I voted stantons b/c I tried them on once and they were nice, but my budy has the sony's and they aren't as comfy as the stantons IMO, but they have bad pressure on the head. and my head fits lotsa headphones just fine. Never tried the pioneers but I hope to get a pair some day. |

THE PIONEERS ARE CRAP!!!
Serioulsy,,, just listen to what I have to say.
I baught these heaphones when they first came out,,, and mine along with the three other people who baught them at the same time as me,,, have all had serious problems. In all three cases,,, the right earphone would completely cut out. I also saw someone in this forum who had the EXACT same problem. Coincedence? I think not.
DON'T BUT THE PIONEER,,, THEY ARE A PIECE OF .
Sure they look nice,,, and might seem to sound great when you first get them,,, but the flaw is in how they are built. If you only use them once in awhile I suppose you'll be okay. But if you use them everyday and are a serious deejay go with something else. |

comfortable, the sound quality is amazing, and they're soooo cheap.. (paid $180AUD for them - about $80US) |

Just because you and, what, 4 others? have had a bad experience with them doesn't mean that Pioneer is crap. I've been buying Pioneer equipment for close to 15 years now and I've always been very very happy with each Pioneer purchase. I've owned these headphones for close to a year now and through continued use, I have never once had a problem with them at all. I've even spun out with them a couple of times and still...no problem. I even think that they are very nice for club and rave mixing too. Maybe you should reevaluate how much abuse you and your friends put on your headphones before you start bashing a well established company, because it sounds like you don't take as good of care of them as you should. And before you even retort, if you did take good care of them, why are they broken while hundreds of other owners have kept theirs in mint shape? |
