John Fleming & GnD.. FLEMING RIPPED IT! (pg. 4)

kid nyce
my point being of the whole night is why in hell would u start the beautiful things beat (when you know thats what everyone wants to hear is the original ) and mix southern sun vocals over it WTF. if ur gonna hit the crowd with an original new hot track just give it to them dont try to make a variation of it or a different approach to the delivery. just GIVE IT TO THEM. the southern sun preface to beautiful things sorta ruined it for me but i lived the guitar moment
and tom ur right...as the rush comes (30 min remix) i think thats what its called....all in all josh and dave are great PRODUCERS/REMIXERS but by all means please keep it there

producers who aspire to dj - worthless (ie: bt)
djs who aspire to produce - priceless (ie: pvd)

ah yes i was the one with the BEAUTIFUL THINGS t-shirt say HI =)

Hey what's up everyone - I'm glad that you all had a great time :D

I was just curious, how long did J00F and G&D each play?

I think J00F came on at around 2AM and he came off at exactly 4.30AM. G&D took over and played until 7.30AM.

i had a great time @ this event and the after party. j00f started out great and his set was amazing at the beginning. my first time seeing him, so i was quite happy. :D
now G&D. well they started out nice, with the led zepplin thingy and then with dirty sticky floors. the first part of their set was great. although i found parts of their mixing off. the whole southern sun/beautiful things was just plain weird. then the 30 minute version of as the rush comes.....i liked the beginning with the 'embrace me'part, etcetera, but it got to be so long. i still love the song. somewhere along in their set i got little lost. i dunno know, maybe i was just tired. the after party was great, i wish i could have stayed longer, but i was tired. vic's set was amazing:eyes: :eyes: :eyes: . hope he has more of these loft parties.
all in all a great nite, taking into consideration how sick i was feeling before i left my house and that i was pretty sure that i would not make it thru the whole nite. but antibiotics and advil are your friend and by the time i got home the next day, my 103.5 fever was down to 97. maybe it was the music that healed me!

@Bri- no problem for the ride, so sorry about the a/c being on full force, if you only knew how hot i was! good thing you did bring your sweatshirt!

@tek- nice having that little convo about depeche mode, i practically gave up on DM after 'exciter' then hearing 'dirty sticky floors', i realised maybe dave gahan has something here...have yet to check out martin gore... alright i am rambling here, the point is, it was great talking DM with you and then dirty sticky floors came on so it was great to hear it!

there was a song that G&D played that had vocals in it that sounded sort of like blackeight or dave gahan vocals to it, does anyone know what it is? i remember the word 'always' in it, that is why i thought it sounded like blackeight b/c of the way 'always' was being said. and i know that it was not 'the silence'

i think your referring to the g&d's new remix of a david gahan track (not dirty sticky floors). Ic ant remember the name but I asked dave about it and he told me it was that.

I think the "30-minute" version of ATRC was 2 (or more) different remixes being played one after the other (or together or something). And I think there were times in between when an acappella was being looped. And perhaps likewise with other parts of the song. But I could be wrong.
