I dunno why you ing n00bs worry...they're after people with big music collections on things like KAZAA! They cant touch hubs because to get on them, they need to share music themselves...but bleh...worry if you want...example of a n00b in this thread...

Yeah..that will do alot...even though they're after labels with artists like N-Trance, Ja Rule, Nelly, and Eminem...fool you think they're after people with mp3s released on things like Blackhole, GU, etc? They're an American organization, after people in America. They have jo jurisdiction (sp?) what so ever in other counties, so they cant do all. Learn the facts n00b... :rolleyes:

and its not the artists who are wanting mp3 sharing to stop, its the record lables and the producers, the people who charge £15 odd for a cd that cost under 10p to make + packaging that cost around 10p, yeah the shop needs to get a slice, but its a total rip off
a bit like dvd's and videos, its cheeper to make dvd's than vhs videos, but yet dvd's cost around £5 more...
anyways most non-cheese trance sharing will be safe, as others have said mp3's create more exposier (sp) and ive brought loads of singles based on mp3's ive heard |

hmm, dont they understand the age old concept of 'the more you tell people not to do something, the more they want to do it' ?
Besides as an unsigned artist, i use p2p software to showcase my material. If things like the EMC hub did not exist then my music would not reach as many people.
I may sue the RIAA for loss of exposure, which could result in loss of earnings by not having people listening to my music :D |
