The idea isn't to ban sex ... the idea is to prolong sexual interaction until a time when that "kid" is mature enough to make the decision to have responsible sex. And most 14 year olds aren't walking around with a die-hard mission to get laid (if they are now I'm gonna be pretty pissed because there were none when I was 14). Most are simply curious about it, and when presented with lucrative opportunities to have sex (a youth nudist camp seems pretty lucrative to me) may simply give in to their curiosities. So yes if a 14 year old wants sex they're getting sex. But taking preventative measures to ensure they are mature enough to have sex, hopefully have some effect.
Edit: oops and by prolonging sexual interaction I meant preventing :) |

It didn't work with me either, but that just means you should have tried harder. But that's more because those wishes remained just wishes without you actively persuing that goal (I'm guessing, but that's how it was with me). I mean, seriously, if your parents would have let you walk around at nights and attend parties of older people when you were 14, chances are you would have found some girl who prefers younger meat. |

I was responding to Shakka's (not very intelligent) argument that we are now "more morally bankrupt" than in earlier times.
Shakka, two examples for you, off the top of my head:
- Prostitution is the world's oldest profession
- Orgies of all kinds were popular in the middle ages in Europe
(there are many more. Indeed the concept of nudity as something inappropriate for children developed only the Victorian age.)
So... people were more "moral" back then? Don't think so man.
Occrider: Yes, in this particular example, I'm sure the statistic has remained the same. Do you honestly there weren't as many homosexuals a few centuries ago? Sexual things in humans are largely determined by anatomy and if that's the case I don't think anything has changed. |

Once again though homosexuality is partly (predominantly?) caused by genetics ... i think that you'll find wider variations in statistics when it comes to crimes such as murder, rape, pedophelia, etc.
I do think that the US should adopt a more liberal attitude towards sex and nudity in avenues such as tv, beaches, swimming pools, whatever. When it comes to nude camps where children of all ages are encouraged to be completely nude around adults ... I tend to cringe as my conservative streak sparks up. |

Dude, I donno about Zagreb but "actively persuing the goal" and then succeed is even hard at my age, 19. Then again I've got exaggerated standards. Then again this got off-topic. :wtf:

Pros:
Spend less money on fashion
5 minutes earlier out the door in the morning
No more color blind mistakes
No stinky, smelly crotches
don't have to do laundry
Rid ourselves of the brutal yoke of oppression that are clothes!!!
Cons:
Trying not to get a boner around hot chicks
Trimming/washing so you don't look nasty
Can't hide that beer gut anymore
!sexual abuse, pedophelia, irresponsible sex
Doesn't seem so bad after all
