I think they should give John Terry a regular game in defence, he was awesome against Newcastle in Kuala Lumpur and pretty underrated imo.
Also he's British, and Ranieri commented that he wanted more British players. |

because buying to many players at once is not good. IT already happened in 99 I think when we sucked hard because of to many new players that hadn“t got time to play together. This can be a re-run of that season. |

The Russian is treating this Chelsea business as a hobby, and it seems he wont be interested in Chelsea anymore in a few years and when he decides to leave, Chelsea cannot pay the wage bill, they are going to pay now, and Chelsea will have to go into administration. So when he leaves, heaps of players will leave. The worse situation is that if Chelsea dont win any silverware. |

Now it looks like Samuel Etoo will sign for Chelsea.
Mallorca has accepted a bid inthe region £7 million. |

Dont you mean 17 million, I read today that Mallorca wouldnt accept anything under 20?
They also now have Veron. I dont think they'd get Vieri, but it wouldnt surprise me all that much if they did.
Im dont know how all this will go for Chelsea, I suppose it depends on how patient Abrahimovic is and whether he'll let this squad he's bought gel together or just them off if they dont play well straight away, causing confusion. You gotta admit though, theyd be a pretty frightening side if all these players they have are on their game...
Oh and to those bothered about him ruining the team...Even though it's a bit mental, I'd be pretty chuffed if some billionaire Russian geezer came and injected 70 million worth of players into Everton! Think yourself lucky. |

I've got mixed feelings about Chelsea's future as well. Man Utd tried to buy the title for years and years and eventually it was a home-grown side that did it for them. But on the other side of the coin, Blackburn basically bought the title and Newcastle almost did it coming from nowhere. But both sides suffered a difficult spell in the aftemath of big spending, Blackburn even went down.
That said, this is quite unprecedented. Some managers have had their spending-sprees before, but Roman Abramovich is a billionaire and we've never seen anything like this sort of spending in such a short space of time.
I sincerely hope they fall flat on their face and Abramovich runs off crying, but realistically they will be somewhere near the top of the table this season - they would have been even if Abramovich hadn't come. As a billionaire businessman Abramovich obviously isn't totally stupid. I don't see why he would spend all this money and then leave a year later - when interviewed he said if he fails to win the title he'll just spend more and win it the next year. The guy's a businessman, that's the way he thinks. My hope is that Chelsea underperform for a couple of years and he decides to cut his losses and run, leaving Chelsea deep in the . That's what most of us want. But if Chelsea win the league this year, Abramovich will invest more, and consolidate his power, and Chelsea will be a major force to be reckoned with.
That's how I see Chelsea's future. It's a bit of a lottery really - either they'll meet his expectations and go from strength to strength or they'll underperform, he cuts his losses and does a runner and they'll be fighting relegation to the nationwide a few years down the line. Look how Leeds' fortunes changed, 18 months ago they were flying high in Europe and now people are tipping them to go down.
Personally I would not like the same to happen to Newcastle. I'd rather we be patient, advance and consolidate rather than get a massive cash injection and watch our future hinge on one or two seasons with a very unsettled squad. |
