| damn! lots of short tracks there! maybe edited!:whip: only 3 tracks with a proper lenght and even those are short compared to chicane's earlier albums longer tracks! i definately still gotta give this a listen and the decide about buying! i loved behind the sun and far from the maddening crowds is damn good too, but i can't find it anywhere anymore!:( |

| Such a nice summer album! I can see myself on the beach, swimming in the sea with a warm sun...gotta love In Praise Of The Sun! And all the other tracks of course. |

I find this album to be a bit dissapointing actually. Almost every track has vocals in it ; sometinh I'm not too keen on because i think it destroys the dreamy feel of most of these songs. Ofcourse there are ome great tracks on there as well ; "Arizona", "Locking Down" and " Kilometre" stand out the most for me.
I'll listen to it again on a beter soundsystem and see if I can enjoy it more that way. Still at this stage I defenitely prefer " Behind The Sun" and was expecting something this to resemble it a bit more ; a few "poppy" songs and the rest some great chillout tracks.
Oh well, I'll still have a look at the finished product because I enjoyed Chicane's previous works so darn much. |

what do you mean that the vocals destroy the song...even if you aren't a vocal trance person...all of chicanes best songs had vocals...see below...the only song of his that i can even think of that was a mega hit without vocals was off shore...
Saltwater
Autumn Tactics
Strong In Love
Don't Give Up
etc. etc.. |

| Those tracks might be your favourites but not mine. And i didn't excactly say that the vocals destroy the song but i don't think they work out all that wel in some of the tracks, i thought it was a bit of a turnoff to hear vocals coming in on like the first 5 songs. |

| The ULTIMATE chill/relaxing album. I like Spirt, In Praise of the Sun, and Locking Down just to name a few. |

| now i've listened to this for the first time straight through! and i must say this mostly sucks! too poppy and bland music. i don't like it! except for the last 3 tracks! they were all good at least, but over all i'd say this is a rather weak performance! gotta wait for the retail version though, if it is somehow different/better! but i'd give this maybe a 4/10! |

Mmmm Chicane ^_^
I'm only up to track 5 - but locking down is blowing me away... bliss
It's much funkier than his earlier work, needs a bit of polish but still so far so good :) But i agree not up to the standards of behind the sun |

finished... outstanding track: empires --> wow the classical, chill, chicane-style mix is amazing (if only all the tracks had been like this!). This album is too disjointed ?how about sticking to one/similar style/s so there's more continuity?
I agree with Kakao - there are too many vocals. They're fine but there needs to be more music to blend the songs together. Maybe the finished product will be more polished??? hopefully?
That said, it's still Chicane :D |

I think you'll find that this release will be the same as the retail version, I dont think this album is disjointed at all. Remember this cd is not mixed and i think your trying to compare it to his other cds that are mixed, anyway, I think you guys that think it's not that good are missing out, this CD is going to be one of the best of the year!! |
