finished... outstanding track: empires --> wow the classical, chill, chicane-style mix is amazing (if only all the tracks had been like this!).

Think this best sums up my opinion of the album... i personally believe there are too many vocal songs (some are good, but there are too many, and not all of them are enjoyable to listen to)..

So yeah, mixed feelings, but hey, it might change by the time of the official release, although I doubt it.

Finally got to sample the album today and I must say it is really nice.

I'm curious about Arizona Part 2 though... Is there an Arizona Part 1? It reminds me of Early from his album Far From The Maddening Crowds. Would have been nice if it was longer though. This and most other tracks are a little short imo.

After my first couple of listens I have to say Spirit, Something Wrong and Empires are the highlights of the album.

Quite different approach for Chicane, I know people who thought DGU was over the too poppy are going to absolutely despise the whole record, I'm mixed.

It's going to take some serious remixing for this stuff to hit the dance floor, but for radio friendly music I enjoy it quite a bit.

I think the new album falls far behind his previous two albums in overall quality, but with a little work several of the songs have more potential.

Overall I'd give the album a B-, it's something I'll listen to quite a bit, but it'll never be among my favourites. As I said, some remixing could really improve it though.

I can listen to Chicane over and over again, it's never going to bore me. I listened to their last cd so often that I can beatbox their stuff :p

Can't wait till there new album hits the stores,
heard some of the songs on it already. In Praise
of the Song, they used that in a Galaxy Chill-out
mix => LOVE IT! :stongue:

Edit: Locking Down...what can I say, vocals are supreme!
