yeah same here. I've always like sympatico, never had a problem with them. I left sympatico for rogers because of the cap, now that it's gone that's a good thing.
BTW, what is sypatico's speed and cap now, now that they are removing the restrictions? |

| Well for those who don't know, Rogers is going to start capping downloads per month to 6 Gigs. For every gig you go over, they is a charge on that. This was supposed to go into effect last year sometime but they are still working out the details. They have said this should happen by the end of the year. Grrrreeeeaaaat.  |

I forgot to post about this when I switched. I am now with LOOK DSL. Which is EXACTLY the same speed as sympatico ONLY 20 bucks Cheaper without the Bull and NO CAPS :D:D:D. I got Ultra highspeed from tehm and needless to say I am VERY satisfied with them. Only thing is u gotta by ur own DSL modem. But it pays for itself. I am using the sympatico modem to connect to look.

I reccomend u check if ur area is servicable. Trust me. DO IT. |

I read a while back on thier FAQ section of their website that they will implement it sometime during the summer 2003. I guess they pushed it back till the end of the year again.
Is it true that Sympatico is removing their bit cap? |

there was a recent press release out that basically stated that Rogers is no longer going to implement the cap. I'll try to find the link for you guys if i can. Basically the reason for it, is because of Sympatico's move to remove the cap from the $40 and $80 plans respectively. So basically Rogers is going to follow suit by keeping caps off their service. Talk and rumors have been flying around for a while now regarding bit caps on Rogers for the past 2 years if I can remember and it still has no come to fruition. Atleast we can feel a little better about it now. Someone was telling me however that caps will still be in place for the "lite" services on both Sympatico and Rogers tho, which I believe are the $20-25 / month plans. |

It looks like its only 10 bucks cheaper and the modelm cost 150.00 bucks so it will take 15 months to have it pay for itself. And sympatico took the cap off now?? Why was this not mentioned before?? Are they just going to scam everyone and lull us into a fake feeling of security? |
