My Little Oakenfold Review!!!

Hey guys!
So we got there LATE around 12:30 (Oakey was supposed to come on at 12) and I was freaking out but its all good cuz he didnt start until 12:45. When I walked in I was like oh ...The club was realllllly packed, reallllly hot, and really small. Man it was so hot I thought I WAS gonna pass out seriously... but then as soon as he played Dirty Sticky Floor I was in a better mood. He played a load of BREAKZ like wow!~~~ Clocks, that Avril Lavigne song "I'm With You" which is suprisingly amazing and pretty much NO CHEESE (I was totally expecting to hear a little bit of that from him) except for when he played that Eminem remix "Nobody Listens To Techno" as the 2nd to last song in the set ~sorry I cant stand that song but thats just my opinion :rolleyes: As far as the breakbeats... Smart I would say... bc Orlando loves that and they went nuts on the dance floor. SO it was all going pretty well ..MUCH better than expected
AND THEN....
he is "DONE".
GReat awesome... everyone starts the "ONE MORE SONG".
I'm telling you the crowd BEGGED and PLEADED. It was nuts. Some dude gets on the mic and tells everyone to leave. But they still begged. Oakey walked back up so we could see him like 3 DIFFERENT times and rooted the crowd on like he was gonnna do some !
AND THEN HE DIDN'T! HE walked off the decks and away!!!!
What the ing . So that BLEW. I was really disappointed.
Who doesnt play the encore bro when the crowd is going THAT crazy for you and screaming your name.
So that was the end and we left. Had fun but that kinda ruined it. ty! Oh well. The only 2 TA's who were there were me and Ryan (Rounder19) Im sure he'll put somethin up soon too!

Yes I got your text around 12:30 as soon as we got there. Yah I love breakz.. they're all I listened to pretty much for the most part up until 3 yrs ago or so. Havent really been into it as much though since then so it was nice to hear them and such a good transition throughout .
But Im still mad at him :mad:

Ok im little confused, first off, sorry to hear Oakenfold "blew" up in O-town, that bastard, anyways is he gonna be at CLub NV on sat as well, cause i dont feel like I want to be around some tenny boppers, no offense to the young TA, u guys are cool , but still, is that true Arturo the parking is gonna be like $3,500, holy , mad loot, goddamn, anyways hit me back and tell me whos going!!!

| For some reason I went to see Oakenfold on the 22nd (JAX)sorry but I gotta say it ! It f*cking sucks, I don't know what the hell is wrong with him but he thinks he's GOD or something . It were some guys using drugs and stuff and Oake.... was telling the security guys (men in black) about it. lot of ppl got arrested because of that which I think is pretty gay from oakenfold, I always hated him but after the show on the 22nd I'l try not to go to his shows ! |

HOLY , that sucks, what the hell is his problem, no i dont even know if I want to see him this weekend, ratting on the crowd, thats just not a niec person let alone a Good DJ, it sounds like something that fag from 93.1 Buster would say, thanx for the info rach and ikki!!!

I skipped the show here in jville. I knew it was gonna blow, ive seen oakie like 7 times here and there over the years and have always been disapointed in his performance. Me and my friends joked that we should of set me up on the tables instead that night :]
Sorry to hear people got busted, but getting all beaned up on a tues night at a oakie concert :rolleyes:
Oakie sold out back in 00 and i havent had respect for him since. I was up in dc this weekend for pvd(which didnt happen) and saw pete m. @ glow and he rode out pretty good. Better then oakie im sure...

I think that Oakey is only worth seen @ Ultra were I pay a price close to what I would spend for him alone to see better DJ's then him or more up to the top kinda DJ;s. Besides the variety and choices..
Anyways, Im glad you had fun rachel, until that time that Oakey acted like that. That really messes up an event really.. what a fag. Im definetly not going to NV, too much money for something that could = suck.. I rather see Markus and Edgar and be sure that I will have a blast, like what Arturo is doing.. lucky WHORE!!!!!!!!!!
Anyways... thanks for tha review, it gave me one more point for not going to Oakey. |
