RARARA!!!
My first, and by no means last, festival ROCKED!!!
Yeah the rain and mud were crap, but I had a ball anyways (the key is staying in one tent like a boring fook) :p
To all I met, Chris, Tim, Kate, Ste, Harriet, the peoples whose nicks I can only remember (was a bit messy *duck*), dj_mdma, anaardvark, gibbo, swisstoni, mikey mike, tinkerbell, coup, and the many others I met but cant remember (*ducks again*) you're all top ppl :D
As djs go, twas Marco V and Ferry that did it for me, and Tiesto and Push were a nice surprise, not what I was expecting from either of em :)
Fergie was complete and utter wank :whip:
Mistress Barbra was alright
Armin was hit and miss for me, mixing wasn't too hot, and neither were some of his tunes, BUT he did drop the Ronski Speed mix of Binary Finary (got a 2 minute video clip of it :D), which was a nice treat, not the most mindblowing remix, but it is a decent enough remix of one of my all time favs :)
So I had a wikkid time, not many piccies, but laods of videos and sound clips (many of which I need ID'd, so Ste, pm me if you want em all, 63.4MB in total, including almost all of Ferry's set in just audio, with the odd bit of chatter between me and dj_mdma)

Was mintos!!! Had such a good nite even with a couple of incidents occurring.
Marco V was amazing, gods tent goin mad when he dropped C:/del*.mp3, Jeff > we were stod bout 10 feet behind u during his set but u know how i am at spotting ppl n didnt get any of ur txts til bout 5!
Caught most DJs wanted 2, illojik, Misstress Barbera, Tiesto, Lab 4, Rob Tissera, Ferry Corsten, Andy Farley, Adam Beyer.
The rain did put a dampner on it but give up caring bout the mud, had fun on the way to the site avoiding a BMW n going into a wall instead n my girlfriends drink gettin spiked with ket n having to look after her for hour n a half!
Finaly getting to bed at midday on sunday after 31 hours awake |

Erm, don't be pissed at me but......
I didn't take any stills, just video. I saw the amount of digi cameras people had and thought i would just be taking the same stills as everyone else so didn't bother. I think toni had a digital camera, she should have some more. Sorry, I will know to take stills next time :( |

steve lawler was really goog, miss barbarba also, hawtin also. Digweed was ok en after that i was already fvcked up to much.
I saw some ukta's when i was walking with snuggle only don't know their names..:p and i also saw some ukta's at the end of the festival when when adam beyer was playing. The rain and mud were but oh well can't have everything :p |

Ma first GG, had a really good time but I guess it cud of been better (not complainin tho) Jon O bir was really good, played beautiful things but j00f cut it short ( twat )
First time seeing John 00, was very impressed he was quality, he had a permanent smile on his face and looked like he was really enjoying himself.
Armin was average but cud of been better, really enoyed ATRC, everyone singing it was pretty cool
Push was quality I thought
Tiesto…wtf was goin on with the sound system, way to quiet, but least heard urban train, tho only half of it !
Misstress Barbara was quality, Egyptian horn track was hilarious, went ape to that!
Fergie, took a while to get goin I thought, could have been better but did enjoy his set, boomerang was good, then he reversed it at the end lol
By the time marco came on, I had lost all ma energy n cud barely stand, but managed to dance for c:\del.mp3, clocks, strange world (woooo !!) and some others
Ferry could have been better, yet I actually really enjoyed the funky electro stuff at the end !
Judge, bah, stayed for about 15 mins, got bored n went walk abouts n then back to the coach to sleep
Met some people who I’v seen b4 at CODE which was cool, plus met a few more groups of people who were all really sound n havin a good time.
Aargh, 4 quid for a can of stella, 4.50 for a cheeseburger, I’m sure they were 3.50 wen I first got in !
Didn’t see n e sniffer dogs and easily got stuff pasty security, which was nice :)
Shame about the rain, that mud was a bit of an ass but n/mind, had a mashed up conversation with some guy in the middle of the field, he was bangin on about how he was in a k hole ealier, n didn’t know wether to take his last pill coz it was his g/f’s and had a big debate with himself about it, lol was quite funny.
Overall, had a great time, will be goin again next year ! |

From a sunny holland
Party was ok,
Positive
atmosphere brillaint,
English people rule. the constantly asked me how tall i was. Very nice.
Michel de Hey played nice, like Carl cox, Lab 4 always funny, marco v nice guy to talked too and a nice set,
free water
Negative:
A very very long list but my conclusion is:
F*****ng bad organazation!!!! If in Holland a organiser would f**k up the soundssystems like GK did they would be bankrupt within a few months because no one would ever go to ther partys again. Lights and Visuals (VJ) also very bad compared too holland.
Complete the list:
Too little wc's
Had to throw my glowsticks away becease they sold them inside--> this is crazy man!!!
1 bar in a big tent too much walking to get my beer
No tribune or seating place i had to rest on the ground in the mud!
Had too BUY a programmbooklet! I think for safety everyone should have one for free.
Okay GK is not in control of the weather but they could have made a few water/mud free walking paths.
and the lists is longer but this are the most impotant things
Party Conclusion : Too much negative things to really really enjoy the night. Too bad. Becease it could have been party of the year if GK had done their job properly.
Rating: a little 7 out of 10 becease carl en michel did what they had to do. and you english people rule!!!! |
